Physical Description[edit]

Lesser Dragons look like small wingless dragons, with softer scales and weaker breath weapons, their color is lighter too, and their teeth are smaller.

History[edit]

Lesser Dragons were made when dragons decided not to have dragonborn as servants, so they had these, but eventually they let them go as well.

Society[edit]

Lesser Dragons live in the wild in packs, and hunt like wolves, but much more dangerous, they also are sometimes kept as pets.

Lesser Dragon Names[edit]

Usually Lesser Dragons have normal names but then are adopted and have pet names.

Wild Razyt, Urdrul, Chussu, Zuzzay, Saivol, Cepode, Quvay, Zaeto, Mevnu, Biovi, etc.

Pet Bella, Charlie, Max, Milo, Coco, etc.

Lesser Dragon Traits[edit]

Dragons demoted to sentient animal rank.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1, your Intelligence decreases by 1.
Age. Lesser Dragons mature at 10 yrs old and live to 500 yrs old.
Alignment. Lesser Dragons tend to lean towards chaotic neutral.
Size. Lesser dragons are about the size of dogs, your size is small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Keen Senses. You have advantage on perception checks that involve hearing or smelling, and with your smelling you can sniff an object and if it is within 50 ft of you, you can locate it and track it down, this works on people, you also have darkvision.
Feral Stance. You are quadrupedal, but your forepaws have thumbs, so you can manipulate objects like a person, however, you cannot properly wield any weapon made for bipedals, you cannot apply proficiency bonuses to weapons made like this, you cannot use two-handed weapons or duel-wield weapons, you cannot don armor made for bipeds, armor made for quadrupeds, barding, needs obtained if you wish to wear it, starting armor counts as barding, wielding a shield does not provide armor class bonuses, finally, many actions are hard for you because you dont usually have free paws, actions like loading a weapon or drinking a potion cost 5 feet of movement, you can cast spells with somatic components by wagging your tail.
Natural Defenses. Your scales, while soft to the touch compared to normal dragons, still provide a bit of protection. You have +2 to your AC.
Natural Offences. Lacking the ability to wield a weapon, what are you to do? Oh, that’s right, you have built in weapons; a claw attack and a bite attack. They are considered to be an unarmed attacks. They do 1d6+Strength damage. Your claw attack does slashing damage, while your bite attack does piercing damage. Your claw attacks have the finesse property.
Ew. You gain advantage on checks to resist poison and disease transmitted via food and drink you consume, you gain advantage on checks to consume large amounts of food/drink, or to eat questionably digestible food/drink.
Draconic Ancestry. Choose from the table:
Black=Acid
Blue=Lightning
Brass=Fire
Bronze=Lightning
Copper=Acid
Gold=Fire
Green=Poison
Red=Fire
Silver=Cold
White=Cold
Amethyst=Force
Crystal=Radiant
Emerald=Psychic
Sapphire=Thunder
Topaz=Necrotic

This is the type of Lesser Dragon you are, and you are colored and look like it.

Draconic Resistance. You gain resistance to the type you chose.
Draconic Breath. You gain a breath weapon of the type you chose, it deals damage in an area according to your ancestry. When you use your breath weapon, all creatures in the area must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your ancestry. The DC of this saving throw is 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increase to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th, and 5d6 at 16th level. After using your breath weapon, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
