Physical Description[edit]

A lapicentaur also sometimes called "Bunny centaur" are similar to centaurs having the upper bodies, down to the waist, of muscular humans, displaying all the human variety of skin tones and features though they can be easily depicted as they tend to have rabbit-like muzzles, complete with whiskers, bucked teeth, large, highly sensitive ears, and rabbit eyes along with soft fur on their rabbit's lower half. The majority of their bodies are covered in a coat of short fur, most commonly in shades of brown, black, grey, and white. Lapicentaurs may grow to a height of five to six feet as adults, with females typically being bigger and more powerfully built than males. A Lapicentaur warrior prefers light or medium armor and takes pleasure in being powerful, quick, alert, and cunning. Although the average weight of a large female is closer to 770 pounds or more, although the average can weigh close to 730 pounds. Lapicentaurs, like their rabbit relatives, have excellent senses, notably hearing, and they frequently adopt a vigilant attitude even while at rest. They are therefore frequently seen by other humanoid races as jittery or scared.

Warrens[edit]

Lapicentaur communities known as warrens, which are often made up of several families with intricately entwined lineages, are the core of lapicentaur existence. Since each warren is essentially a clan, the few lapicentaurs that communicate with outsiders frequently use their warren names as surnames.

Warrens are constructed partially underground, much like traditional hobbit dwellings, frequently underneath small hills or downs. lapicentaur settlements, in contrast to hobbit villages, are connected underground, sometimes resulting in a baffling tangle of tunnels and corridors. Most warrens have just two entrances to the outer world, and all of the public areas are underground. Individual homes frequently have their entrances/exits, windows, etc. in wealthy warrens. More covert warrens could be concealed or even booby-trapped.

Unity, Order, and Strength[edit]

Lapine culture has a hierarchical collective leadership and is extremely strict and regimented. A council of elders, with a chief at its head, governs each warren. Chiefs prefix their names with the honorific -rah, which can be loosely translated as "prince" or "leader." The chief's position might range from civilizer to military dictator, although most warrens favor a more consultative, ad hoc democratic style.

In the majority of warrens, the council is in charge of the Owsla, or military caste, which is in charge of upholding the law and preserving the warren's security. As the most daring type of lapine, owsla place a high importance on discipline, courage, and honor. They are also the most likely to interact with outsiders.
