Isekai Slime Race[edit]

From "That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime"

Physical Description[edit]

Looking like an amorphous blob when not shifted, Sentient Slimes are indistinguishable by looks from other slimes and oozes. When shifted, they look like whatever the player tries/can to.

History[edit]

The Sentient Slimes are an extremely rare occurance, formed by a mistake made by slimes when they split to reproduce. Most people don't even know of the existance of these slimes, and even most of the Sentient Slimes themselves believe they are unique. Their abilities are actually shared by all slimes, but never activated, since their instinct just tells them to feed, which is done far easier in slime form.

Society[edit]

There is no society for Sentient Slimes. The few that are born out of chance rarely find another one of their own, and are destined to live in loneliness.

Sentient Slime Traits[edit]

A Race of the Slime guy from that one Anime. (WIP)
Ability Score Increase. You get up to 4 points to distribute in your skills, you can only put a maximum of 2 in a skill.
Age. You are technically immortal and show no traits of age.
Alignment. Starting out True Neutral, your alignment changes and grows due to the people you meet and interact with. Otherwise, it can be anything.
Size. When not shifted, you are Small. When shifted, you are the size of the creature you shifted into.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 10 feet, and you have a swimming speed of 10 feet, both are when not shifted. When shifted, you take on the speeds of the creature you've shifted into.
Great Sage.. As an action, you can ingest any object or creature you possess and cast the identify spell, no components required. You are proficient in the Perception and Investigation skills.
Slime form.. You can use an action to transform into your slime form. In this form, you cannot use your hands, hold or carry items. All of your items fall on you.
You can fit in a space 1 inch wide without crushing, and your unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d4 acid damage. Any attempts to grab you in this form also deal 1d4 acid damage, and anyone you successfully grab in this form takes 1d4 acid damage per turn you remain grappled. 🇺🇸 While in its slime form, you don't need to breathe or sleep, and it's resistant to acid damage. You also have no senses except Blindsense, 20 feet Once per day, you must return to your slime form for at least 20 minutes or suffer a -4 penalty to your
Dexterity and Constitution, which can only be reversed spending 20 minutes in your slime form. While in your slime form, you cannot be contained..
You can choose to allow others not to be harmed by your acid.
Slime Mimicry. As an action, you can change your appearance and voice to match an object or creature you're holding in your stomach or that you've devoured with Predation. If trying to mimic a creature, you don't need to have the entire body stored, you only need 30% of the body. While transformed, you gain the senses and racial traits of the creature/object you change into, while keeping your senses blind. You can only mimic the specific object/creature you consumed, not others of the same type/race. You cannot duplicate the appearance of a creature you never consumed, nor can you speak a language you never learned. Your clothes and equipment are not affected by this trait. You can also use this for objects. You can only use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Constitution modifier. While in this form, yours are nearly indistinguishable from the original, and any checks made to determine the truth automatically fail if the person or creature making the check has never seen the original form before. If they've seen the original form, the checks, if successful, only reveal that you're an imposter, not that you're a slime. If the person or creature making the check is familiar with the original form, this check is made with advantage. (min of 1)
Stomach. Stores items, devoured/eaten creatures, and willing creatures. Items stored in the user's stomach are not affected by time. You can only upload as much as you want.
Predation. As a full action, you can devour a creature that has less than 25 hits points or is dead. If the creature is alive and reluctant, you must roll a 2D20 + Constitution + your Proficiency Bonus. Upon passing DC15 + half the creature's CR or level, the creature is sent to your stomach and you absorb its memories, including known languages, spells of your choice, and all unique traits of your choice and heal based on your size. You can try up to three times
Heal: Minor=1d4 + creature's Constitution modifier. Small=1d6 + creature's Constitution modifier. Medium 2d6 + creature's Constitution modifier. Large=4d4 + creature's Constitution modifier.
Languages. You don't know how to read, speak or write in any language, because Sentient Slimes have no one to communicate with, but if you are already devoured someone in your lore with GM permission you can learn the language of the race or just choose the common one, being able to write, read and speak.

Height and Weight: Sentient Slimes are typically around 20cm (aproximately 0.6ft) in height and weigh around 45kg (66lb), though it is worth mentioning that this is on an empty stomach, as anything they carry on their stomach should be counted against their weight.
