Impure Spawns are those who have had their soul returned by edo tensei to their bodies or another bodies after they have died. As such, they are far from mindless, but they still aren't living. While their soul has been returned, their bodies are still dead, resulting in what some consider a form of lesser lich.

Physical Description[edit]

same as base creature except having black sclerae in eyes. when they are not under control by their creator, their skin is cracked

Creating an Impure Creature[edit]

This is an aquired template that can be applied to living creature with Intelligence of at least 3(referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Size and Type[edit]

Type changed to undead. Impure Spawns gain the augmented subtype in additions to the previous selves' subtypes

Hit Dice[edit]

All racial HD change to d12. Do not drop HD attained from class.

Speed[edit]

Speed does not change

Armor Class[edit]

Natural armor bonus increases by a number based on the creature’s size:

Tiny or smaller +0, Small +1, Medium +2, Large +3, Huge +4, Gargantuan +7, Colossal +11

Attack[edit]

Attacks: An Impure Spawns retains all the natural weapons, manufactured weapon attacks, and weapon proficiency's of the base creature. A creature with hands gains one claw attack per hand; the Impure Spawns can strike with each of its claw attacks at its full attack bonus.

Damage[edit]

Claw attacks deal damage based on size.

Fine:1 Dimunitive:1d2 Tiny:1d3 Small:1d4 Medium:1d6 Large:1d8 Huge:1d10 Gargantuan:2d6 Colossal:2d8

Full Attack[edit]

If the base creature uses a manufactured weapon, it uses the weapon. If it has a free hand, it uses a claw attack as a secondary natural attack.

Special Qualities[edit]

  • Chilling Presence (Ex): If their animator's spellcasting upon creation was less than 30, Impure Spawns take a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks. If their animator's spellcasting upon creation was less than 20, Impure Spawns take a additional -2 penalty on all attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks.
  • Tough Body (Ex): Impure Spawns gain damage reduction according to the table below.
  • Resistance to cold, and electricity (see the table below).

If their animator's spellcasting upon creation was less than 20, As base creature. If their animator's spellcasting upon creation was more than 29, As base creature +2. if the animator spellcasting upon creation between 20 to 29, As base creature +1
