Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the hræsvelgr fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Keen Sight. The hræsvelgr has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The hræsvelgr can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) poison damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature grappled by the hræsvelgr, that creature is swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the hræsvelgr, and it takes 35 (10d6) acid damage at the start of each of the hræsvelgr's turns.
If the hræsvelgr takes 50 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the hræsvelgr must succeed on a DC 25 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the hræsvelgr. If the hræsvelgr dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 15 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d6 + 8) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 8) bludgeoning damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the hræsvelgr's choice that is within 120 feet of the hræsvelgr and aware of it must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the hræsvelgr's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

The hræsvelgr can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The hræsvelgr regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The hræsvelgr makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The hræsvelgr makes a tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The hræsvelgr beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of the hræsvelgr must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (2d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The hræsvelgr can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Across the skies of magical forests soar hræsvelgr, the great corpse-swallowers that cast shadows on mountains. Even newly hatched hræsvelgr are Giant Eagles that tower over their prey. They have gained their epithet from their method of hunting, swooping from the sky and swallowing their prey whole. Hunger acts as a switch for hræsvelgr, switching from majestic, pacifist angels to swooping, ravenous demons.
