Hero of Time[edit]

Every half century, a hero is born to fight off the threat of demons or some other great evil in the material plane. Heroes of time are chosen by the gods to fight to maintain the balance of the world.

Physical Description[edit]

Heroes of time are usually somewhat tall and slender with skin tone and hair color covering the wide range of colors normally present in humans. While they appear human at first glance, all heroes look like half elves regardless of whether they have solely human, elf, or mixed heritage. They commonly are confused with half elves due to their pointed ears and human like appearance. However, heroes of time all share an attractive physique, with women tending to have curvacious bust and hips and men having athletic toned bodies.

History[edit]

A long time ago, after the gods left the material plane, the looming threat of a demon invasion was foretold to destroy all life on the prime material plane. The gods, desperate to protect their children, but unable to directly intervene, decided the most they could do was plant a seed of courage into the soul of a brave child. This child, surrounded by many courageous and honorable individuals, grew up learning to protect others. When the day of the demon invasion arrived, the now teenage hero rallied those around him and managing to defeat the demon horde after a long and grueling battle. The hero, succumbing to his injuries, passed shortly thereafter.

Since then, the hero of time's soul has continued to reincarnate into worthy individuals of elvish or human blood. It is said that these new heroes of time however, can not escape fate and as such, will be destined to fight against any great evil that appears on the material plane. These newer heroes have defeated many a figures of evil, and even if they should fail, future heroes of time will be born to take up the task of defeating that evil in their stead.

Society[edit]

The gods that created the hero of time tend to at least ensure a hero of time will be born in an environment that nurtures their growth, as to enhance the likelihood of the hero succeeding in their task. As such, heroes of time are usually raised in the human or elven homelands and kingdoms, but sometimes if a hero of time is born in an eleven kingdom, they are ostracized due to their human like aging and unusual powers.

Heroes of time often fit in well with many societies due to their half elven appearance, but they can never form a society of their own as there can only be one hero of time alive at any time. Despite this, many heroes of time can still learn about their predecessors due to many of them being considered legends due to their slaying of many great evils and having a great many stories told about them.
