Heart of the Wild (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, Legendary (Major) (Requires Attunement by a Druid)

This fossilized heart once belonged to a Dryad master of wild magic who gave her life defending the Feywild from demonic intrusion. A druid attuned to the heart may use it as a spellcasting focus. The heart provides a +3 bonus to both Spellcasting ability modifier and Spell save DC, and increases AC by 2, but has a vague, wordless sentience, and detests cities and technology almost as much as it hates demons. Additionally, whenever the attuned person casts a spell of 1st level or higher, roll on the Wild Magic table. If the heart has a positive opinion of it's wielder (determined by the DM), they may roll twice and take either result.

As an action, the attuned person can tap into the raw fury and might of the last living moments of the Dryad to cast Storm of Vengeance. This does not consume a spell slot, but being forced to remember the anguish of it's demise causes the heart to resent the use of this ability, causing it to cease functioning for a length of time determined by the DM.
