Physical Description[edit]

An animal like human race that possess ear and tails of animals. However, they have very human, or identical, face and body appearance with skins instead of fur like tabaxi. Few Half Beastkin may have paws for hand and foot but they are rare in number.


Half-Beastkin is closer to other beast-like races such as Tabaxi than human. However, through the passage of time and the need to integrate into other race that has a similar appearance as human, they begin to change as well. The Half-Beastkin is still somewhat a rarity, but it is not uncommon enough for people to not be aware of them.


Half Beastkin often favor combat prowess over anything else for leader. Due to this, they can group and form a country when is big enough. Often enough they enjoy skirmishes and battles even within a county. Civil war however don’t often happen as when one wish to become new leader or king, one will yield to the strong in a duel. However, they are often very helpful to each other within the half-beastkin race when under attack from other race… unless nature calls like cat and dog.

“The weak should follow the strong” that's the iron rule many half-beastkin believe in. Due to this, many that becomes merchant and the like are looked down upon even if they have greater wealth. On top of that, most half-beastkin of same origin often live together which often cause few certain oriented half-beastkin like lion to look down on some like cat or rabbit.

Half-Beastkin Names[edit]

Half-Beast kin does not have any particular names they use. They often follow the naming sense of the society they integrated or picked up.

Half-Beastkin Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age. You mature and grow at the same rate as human
Alignment. They tend to be neutral and is rarely chaotic
Size. Half-Beastkin have the same range of height and weight as humans.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Wild Soul. The essence that makes you allow you to adapt easily to the environment. You are adjusted to either extreme cold or warm weather(your choice), and don't need to make saving throws against exhaustion while in these environments Additionally, you can hold your breath underwater for an extra three minutes.
Battle Frenzy. Starting at 3rd level, you can enter Battle Frenzy with your bonus action. For the next minute, your weapon attacks deal extra damage equal to your Proficiency bonus. You can only do this once, and regain the use after finishing a long rest.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan.
Subrace. Choose either Mystical Beast Origin, Guardian Beast Origin, or War Beast Origin

Mystical Beast Origin[edit]

You are from a line of Blood that is strong in mind. Many of them are oriented from Fox and Rabbit that seems magical or knowledgable.

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence or Charisma increases by 1.
Focused. While in Battle Frenzy, you have advantage on Concentration saving throws.

Guardian Beast Origin[edit]

You are from a line of blood that live to protect. Many of these oriented from Dog or Lion that often is portrayed as guardians.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution is increased by 1.
Protector. When in Battle Fury, you can use your reaction to force an attack that targets someone within 5 feet of you to target you instead. The damage you take from this attack is reduced by your Proficiency bonus.
Tool Proficiency. You also gain 1 tool proficiency from the following choices: Calligrapher's Supplies, Cook’s utensils, or Navigator’s tools.

War Beast Origin[edit]

You are from a line of blood that battles often and/or becomes able to make a swift judgment. Many of them are often oriented from Elephant and Wolf that possess great endurance in long term combat.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength or Wisdom is increased by 1.
Quickend Rest. When you take a short rest, you can add your proficiency bonus to each hit die spent for recovery. In addition, your required hours to achieve the effects of long rest is reduced by half.

Random Height and Weight[edit]
