Gotverse Wererabbit[edit]

GoTverse Wererabbits are a race of Werebeast specific to the Game of Tomes universe (the GoTverse).

Physical Description[edit]

Wererabbits appear nearly indistinguishable from Humans in their Humanoid form, and commonly take on a near-perfect guise of a lagomorph local to their homeland in Rabbit form. What is truly unique about Wererabbits is their Half-Rabbit form, which is bipedal and looks much like an anthropomorphized lagomorph.

History[edit]

Wererabbits have been in existence since the dawn of Humanity, although they have always been rare. While distinctly their own entity, they have always attempted to intermingle with the Human population to more or less success. Theories imply that the Wererabbit and Human closeness was designed to keep the Wererabbit's gene pool diverse.

In medieval times, the Wererabbit House of Lapin was wealthy and influential throughout Europe, but this power did not last beyond the Renaissance. After the Iron Tome was written out of existence in 1487 CE, House Lapin faded to only a shadow of what it once was. Following the First Word War in 2020 CE, House Lapin has begun to regain its former glory, and Wererabbits from far and wide have flocked to their ancestral House.

Society[edit]

Wererabbits tend to follow the societal norms of the Human culture they were raised in. Despite being mostly integrated with Human society since before the First Word War, Wererabbits have been known to congregate with other Wererabbits in groups known as "Warrens". These Warrens take up the traditional role of an extended family. Some Warrens will go so far as sharing living spaces, while others will stay separate. The defining feature of a Warren is the sense of kinship a Wererabbit feels for the Warren.

Wererabbit Names[edit]

As Wererabbits are largely integrated into Human society, they generally use Human naming conventions. Judaism and Wicca are common religions for Wererabbits, and these religions often influence the naming of kits.
