Genetic Dwarf (3.5e Template)

Genetic Dwarf[edit]

It happens sometimes. A genetic defect causes a creature to be born smaller than normal. Every now and then again, one of these unfortunate offspring are completely healthy, despite their defect. These are the subject of this Template.

Creating a Genetic Dwarf[edit]

Genetic Dwarf is an inherited template that can be applied to any living creature that is born, not created, such as Warforged. Genetic Dwarfism has nothing to do with, but can be applied to Dwarves, the Race. Because this inherited template describes a random genetic defect that has nothing to do with heredity, it can be combined with any other inherited template that the base creature qualifies for.

Size and Type[edit]

The base creature is reduced by one size category. Recalculate all attributes that apply when changing size category. Type remains the same. This web app can help with the calculations.

Hit Dice[edit]

Hit dice are not changed.

If the creature is reduced to small size, base land speed is reduced by 10. If the base creature has a fly speed, reduce that speed by 10, but increase maneuverability by one level, if possible.

Armor Class[edit]

Armour class is not changed outside of what is changed by decreasing size.
