Galvan[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

OHAxvTT.png
An elderly male Galvan

Galvan, also known as "grey matter" for their large craniums, are about five inches tall on average. Their bodies consist of soft and flexible bones, allowing them to squeeze into tight spaces or quickly escape from danger as well as land and avoid breaking anything. The galvan have large, bulbous, eyes with thin lines for pupils. Unlike humans, galvan eyelids close horizontally and from both sides of the eye. Most galvan will have green eyes, from shades of lime to neon. Female galvan grow thin tendrils on their head. Male galvan grow similar tendrils, but on their chin, resembling a beard or mustache. This is a sign of their maturity. Infant galvan look like tadpoles. They have tails and lack legs, but they grow legs and shed their tails upon maturity. Like frogs, galvan are insectivorous, and will find it hard to eat anything else.

History[edit]

The galvan originally had no empire to speak of. Instead they were first kept as pets by foreign bodies due to their petite size, which some found cute. It is believed this captivity took galvans from their origin and they grew to have forgotten it, becoming a roaming species. Their intelligence, however, astounded those who thought them no better than animals. Their small size allowed them to get inside any machine and figure out how it worked. This then led to them being employed, rather than just owned, by other species as industrial technicians, spies, and saboteurs, prized for their convenient size and smarts.
The galvan, through their employment, came to know many things from many worlds, particularly technology. They were smart enough to keep the best secrets for themselves, eventually amassing enough knowledge to build a powerful empire of their own, based on the technology that they kept from the rest of the races, as well as synthesizing them to make newer, better things. Among their achievements is the omnitrix, a device allowing one to transform based on exposure to foreign kinds of DNA. They have even been able to create worlds with their brainpower. Their intelligence makes them the target of warlords and power-hungry people wanting to use their technologies for nefarious purposes.

Society[edit]

The galvan's main city of Galvan Prime is the largest galvan city, spanning across 50 feet. Though its size is certainly small to most races, it is extremely well protected, due to the advanced technological defenses surrounding it. There are many minor galvan cities scattered around, but none nearly as impressive as Galvan Prime. The current leader of the galvan race is the smartest, and is dubbed as the 'first thinker', as they will be given the first opinion on any matters, and will usually be in power for many years. People have mixed emotions about galvans. Many a time, galvan engineering led to disaster due to their technology being sold to those who abuse it. Galvan desire challenges and breaking limits, even those which perhaps should remain unbroken.
