Lesser Impulse
Casting time: Move action
Range: Touch
Target: A ranged weapon
Power: Weapon range increased by 10ft/40ft × Int
Duration: Concentration, 1d4 + Cha projectiles

A Force Muzzle is a magical construct, invisibly composed of the Force Savant's specialized magic, that is attached to a ranged weapon via the Ethereal Plane. It hovers in front of the weapon and accelerates any physical projectiles passing through it, extending the range of that weapon for the duration.

The effective range of these projectiles is increased by 10ft × the Savant's Intelligence modifier, and the maximum range of these projectiles is increased by 40ft × the Savant's Intelligence modifier. These projectiles also gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage due to their increased velocity.

Even while concentrating on an existing Force Muzzle, a Force Savant may recast this Impulse to create additional instances of the effect. A Force Savant may have a total number of instances active equal to twice their Charisma modifier. The maximum number of instances that can be cast upon any one weapon is equal to the Savant's Intelligence modifier. The effects of multiple instances of Force Muzzle upon a single weapon stack cumulatively.

When the Savant stops concentrating on her Force Muzzles, they do not immediately dissipate; instead, the existing enchantment remains until the energy is used up by firing projectiles with the weapon. Each weapon affected by Force Muzzle retains the full bonus from however many instances it has for 1d4 more projectiles, plus a number of projectiles equal to the Savant's Charisma modifier. This energy persists until it used up, or until combat ends.
