False Appearance. While the shield remains motionless and isn't flying, it is indistinguishable from a normal shield.

Flyby. The shield doesn't provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

ACTIONS

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

REACTIONS

Protection. When a creature makes an attack against an ally within 10 feet of the shield, the shield can jump in between the attacker and the ally, taking the hit for them.

A flying shield darts across the battlefield, crashing into enemies and intercepting their attacks. A flying shield might bear a heraldic symbol of a flying creature on its face, such as a griffon, pegasus, or dragon.
