Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement) This mechanical insect is made of glass and steel with a small diamond affixed to its abdomen. As an action, you may affix this item to a surface within 5 feet of you. While you can see the insect, whenever a creature comes within 15 feet of it, you may cause it to activate and target that creature. It has 12 hit points, an AC of 15, and a movement of 15. The insect acts at the end of your turn, dealing 4d4 piercing damage to its target if within 5 feet. When either the insect or its target are reduced to 0 hit points, a flash of light emanates from the diamond and it teleports to you, after which you must complete a long rest to activate it again. During a long rest, the insect magically repairs itself for 3d4 hit points.
