Physical Description[edit]

Fell orcs are race of savage humanoid creatures. Their skin tone ranges from dirty white to almost pitch black, with most being in gray between. Their hair colors are always dark, though many prefer to be bald. Their eyes are blank and often have a red or orange glow to them. Unlike the typical image an orc would elicit, fell orcs are wiry and dexterous, like elves, and have pointed ears. Rather than thick bones, protruding teeth, and a savage face of brutality, their features are less pronounced, having a more insidious feel.

History[edit]

Fell orcs are believed to have slipped into the Material World from around the same time the grey orcs came when the Imaskari foolishly opened a portal from the Spine to the home realm of orcs. While the other orcs moved southward and came to be ancestors of mountain orcs, the fell orcs remained relatively close to the Spine. It is said that, even in their homeworld, fell orcs were considered the lesser blessed of Gruumsh. They were spat on by other orcs, who saw them as weaker turncoats who knew not the valor of battle. But the fell orcs did not care, and they shirked their supposed god, instead choosing Shargaas as their primary deity. They love the use of trickery and foul tactics, preferring them to the crude methods of barbarity common to orcs. Due to their choice of methods, fell orcs grew in a different manner than regular orcs, being built for speed and espionage rather than front line combat.

Society[edit]

Like regular orcs, fell orcs hate elves. In the ways of Shargaas, many take on the feats of necromancy. They live in nomadic tribes that go about the Spine. These tribes have occasional slaves, which are bought back from outside the mountains by fell orc adventurers. Fell orcs are sent out into the world to do evil deeds of thievery and assassinations, partaking in the fruits of societal underworlds. They are favored as mercenaries due to their lack of scruples and willingness to dirty their hands. Their cruelty is well known, as they love tormenting victims with the illusion of escape, as well as other torture tactics as grisly as that of goblins. However, they have some sense of community with their own, hence why they bring back spoils as gifts from their travel to their tribes.

While a majority of fell orcs remain in the Spine, some have migrated southward in the footsteps of the other orcs. They are very versatile and not picky about homes, living in a variety of terrains like caves, forests, plains, and badlands. Generally, they prefer not to be around anyone else, so they can scheme in quiet. They are not very fond of other orcs either, and have been known to turn information over to elves to endanger them to try and trick the two groups into killing each other in battle. They, therefore, are hated by both groups. But they rarely care, instead reveling in amusement over their schemes.

Fell Orc Names[edit]
