Eldritch Cannon[edit]

You are a sentient eldritch cannon created by a powerful Artificer that focuses on the craft of artillery.

Ability Score Increase: You gain a +2 to Dex and a +1 to Con.

Alignment: Eldritch Cannons are always the same alignment as their creator.

Size: Eldritch Cannons are moderately small, and can range in sizes depending on how they were created. Your size is small.

Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Type: You are a construct.

Construct Nature: You are immune to poison damage, the poisoned condition, or disease. You do not need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe.

Cannon type: Choose a cannon type from the following: Flamethrower, Lightning Ballista, or Protector. You can use your ability once per short or long rest

Flamethrower:[edit]

You can use an action to exhale fire in a 15 foot cone. The save DC is 8 + your constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus, or your spell save DC if you have one. On a failed save, any creature in the cone must take 2d8 fire damage, and on a successful save, the damage is half that amount. The damage increases to 3d8 at 6th level.

Lightning Ballista:[edit]

You can use an action to shoot lightning up to 120 feet. Make a ranged attack, with the bonus being your constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus, or your spell attack bonus if you have one. On a hit, the creature takes 2d8 damage and is pushed back by 5 feet. The damage increases to 3d8 at 6th level.

Protector[edit]

You can use an action to create a magical shield for everyone nearby. Every creature of your choosing within 10 feet immediately gains temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + your constitution modifier, or 1d8 plus your spellcasting ability if you are a spellcaster. The amount of temporary hit points increases to 2d8 at 6th level.
