"What are you?", "I am an Egg"
—Dialog between an unknown person, and an eggledites

Physical Description[edit]

Egg like in appearance, with short, thin limbs. Their shells can be a variety of colors, but tend more towards white or light shades of brown. Large eyes but mainly human-like facial features. They are shorter than humans and not particularly agile.

Eggledites are magical beings created after an incompetent wizards experiment failed. He was trying to speed up the growth of cockatrice eggs using enchantment. Instead, he gave them sentience. After the wizard became disowned and ridiculed by the magical community, he isolated himself and hid his failure. However, after a number of years hiding away in an abandoned tower, he began enchanting the eggs again out of boredom and loneliness. They slowly developed speech and limbs, becoming the form seen today. Soon after, the wizard passed and the eggs left the tower and made their own way into the world. They are fairly charismatic and talkative, but do have a tendency to make egg related puns.

They mostly blend into the common societies in the world, tending to stay more with human and magical societies. However, due to their unpopularity, some decide to become travelers and merchants.
