Discussion talk:Need some metals

I have used some variant metals im my games too,it's a fun way to change magic weapons and make them seem fresh and different without being overpowered.First,by adding magic, you can make totally different types of alloys.Ironsilver has all the beneficial properties of cold iron and pure silver and can ignore both types of damage reduction without any drawbacks.Ironsilver has the hardness, break DC,and HP of steel.Orichalcum is a lustrous metal made by combining gold, iron, silver, and copper into an alloy that could not even exist without magic to bind it.Unlike Ironsilver,Orichalcum does not ignore silver or iron damage reduction, although (3.0)it can ignore any type of magic DR of any bonus / (3.5)it can ignore both magic and epic DR.Orichalcum is most oftenly used in spellstoring daggers and swords.Orichalcum has the hardness, break DC,and HP of steel.Meteorite Iron is another type of uncommon metal that has semi-magical properties, and requires both great skill and magical aid to forge.Because it has been tinged with celestial properties and is radically purified,Meteorite Iron can ignore the damage reduction of any demon(any native of the abyss,or any chaotic evil outsider).Meteorite Iron deals one extra point of damage to demons, and,as a perfect paladin weapon,is usually enchanted as a holy defender,or holy avenger. Meteorite Iron has the hardness, break DC,and HP of steel plus one. These metals are all found on most prime material plane worlds, but are rarely made, hard to find, hard to forge,or all three.

Here you go - 3.5e Mundane Materials - have fun. Marasmusine (talk) 05:36, 11 July 2016 (MDT)
