Devilkin[edit]

Varied Infernal Ancestry[edit]

Devilkin are often described to be like tieflings. However, devilkin retain a less prominent presence and their features are less pronounced. Sometimes it is very hard to tell them from a human because of the dilution of their blood. Their usual features are small horns that peek out above their temples. These sometimes just blend seamlessly with the hairline. Devilkin have sharper than normal canines and triple pointed molars on the bottom jaw. Unlike conspicuous tieflings, they usually have the skin tone of humans, or some means to disguise themselves well enough. Their eyes will often be luminous, like that of a night creature.

Imp devilkin are more, well, impish. They have dimples and a pointed, large nose. The skin around their eyes down to their cheeks is redder and their ears are noticeably pointed, but not long like an elf's. Chain devilkin are so named due to a weird spine they have which protrudes out of their backs and resembles the segments of a chain. Otherwise, they look reasonably human. Erinyes have the hardest time hiding their nature due to their red-feathered wings which protrude out their back.

Removed Infernal Descendants[edit]

There are ranks among demons that determine their power and status in their world of cruelty and evil. Those high up in the ranks could have all the kidnapped humans they want. They could corrupt them however they wanted. From them came, for example, the well-known cambion and tiefling. However, these powerful demon heritages marked their offspring for life so living amongst those who knew of their fiendish origins was difficult. The devilkin avoided this problem for the most part. Their demon parent was a creature of low standing and potency. Thus, they could barely even overpower a human and mainly resorted to swarming and forcing themselves on a single bearer. Their blood was too weak to overcome the human blood and so devilkin resulted in having a more human appearance. However, they retained their demonic affinities for magic for the most part.

Less Visible[edit]

Devilkin often live within other human societies. They reside in the slum areas or places for the "lesser," often sharing room with the tiefling race. However, their more human appearance makes them capable of living in the normal echelons of society. Their interactions with the tieflings are usually very nonchalant. Some take advantage of their status derived from an obscured nature to act as humans might. Devilkin sometimes believe themselves luckier than tieflings, but feel a kindred connection with them.

Nonchalant Aloofness[edit]

Devilkin are known for not being very committed to anything. Some devilkin still retain their parent and will guard them fiercely. Devilkin can recognize one another with relative ease due to the notable places where their features are. They are very clingy with those whom they like or consider friends. A devilkin will protect their family and friends to the death. Those who remain solitary are usually chaotic and do everything they wish with little regard for others. Retaining a bit of their devilish ancestry, they can be extremely crafty and vindictive.
