Physical Description[edit]

Darkborn are identical to humans in most ways though they tend to be quite pale.

History[edit]

Dark born are humans who have inherited powers from a powerful being of darkness, some see it as a curse others as a blessing

Darkborn Traits[edit]

Humans with dark powers
Ability Score Increase. Your int score increases by 2 and your dex increases by 1.
Age. Darkborn mature at the same age as humans but can live to 10000 years of age
Alignment. Darkborn tend toward neutral and are usually chaotic
Size. Darkborn vary widely in height and build, from barely 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Essence of The Dark. You have inate magic abilities, at 3rd level you can cast darkness, at 5th level you are able to cast gasous form You are only able to cast these spells once and must take a short rest to be able to cast them again. intelligence is your spell casting ability for these spells
Shadow Trance. you do not need to sleep, but instead my trance for 4 hours, while in this trance you have a chance to be spoken to by the creature who gave made you into a darkborn, the dm decides if they talk to you and what they say
Heart of Despair. you are resistant to cold and necrotic damage
Mold Shadows. In dim light or darkness you can mold the shadows around you, you may manifest a pair of wings, a set of claws, a cloak of shadows. the dm may allow you to create other items out of shadows.

Wings: while you have wings you gain a flying speed of 30ft.
Claws: while you have claws your unarmed attacks using either str or dex deal 1d4 of cold or necrotic damage, and are considered magical.
Cloak: while you wear a cloak of shadows you have advantage on stealth checks.

if you enter bright light while manifesting any of these effects you must make a Intelligence save at the start of every minute or have the effect canceled, the save is 8+2*the number of minutes spent in bright light.
Languages. You know common, undercommon and infernal.
