Darius, the hand of Noxus (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Darius, the Hand of Noxus
Medium humanoid (human), lawful evil
Saving Throws Str + 17, Con +15, Wis +15
Hemorrhage. Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed. Bleeding enemies take 7 (3d4) nonmagical necrotic damage at the beginning on the round. This effect stacks up to five times with each Hemorrhage effect ending 2 rounds after a stack has been applied. Enemies that reach five Hemorrhage stacks cause Darius to gain Noxian Might, increasing his damage from attacks by 18 (4d8) on hit.
Honed Edge. Darius' attacks ignore resistance to slashing damage, treat immunity to slashing damage as resistance, and is not affected by a target being immune to nonmagical weapons.
Multiattack. Darius can make three Guillotine Axe attacks a turn. He can also exchange one of those with either Decimate or Crippling Strike.
Guillotine Axe. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 28 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage.
Decimate (Recharge 4-6). Darius winds up and swings his axe in a wide circle. Creatures within 15 ft. of Darius make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw. Creatures 15 ft. away are struck by the blade. They take 22 (5d8) slashing damage and have a stack of Hemorrhage applied to them. Creatures 5-10 ft. away are struck by the handle of Darius' axe and take 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage and do not take any stacks of Hemorrhage. Creatures take half damage from the blade or handle upon succeeding the saving throw. Darius recovers 13 (3d8) Hit Points per hostile hit by the blade regardless of the creatures being hostile to him or if they succeed on the saving throw.
Crippling Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 28 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage and the target's Movement Speed is reduced to 10 ft. until the end of their next turn.
Apprehend (Recharge 5-6) Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe's hook and pulls them to him. Creatures within a 20 ft. cone in front of Darius make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw. Creatures that fail are grappled and pulled to the space directly in front of him, moving to the next unoccupied space in front of Darius. Affected targets also have their Movement Speed reduced by 15 ft. and cannot take Reactions until the end of their next turn. Creatures that succeed duck under the sweep. Darius can make another action other than Noxian Guillotine after Apprehend.
Noxian Guillotine (Recharge 6). Melee Weapon Attack. +17 to hit, reach 15 ft. Hit: Darius leaps to a target and strikes a lethal blow, dealing 55 (10d10) slashing damage. This damage is increased by 11 (2d10) for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target. If Noxian Guillotine reduces a target to 0 hit points, it is a killing blow. This means the target automatically fails its three death saving throws. If Noxian Guillotine is a killing blow, its recharged and can be done to another target this round. A creature killed this way is split from the top of their bodies to the very bottom.
Darius can spend a Legendary Action to use Apprehend as an Attack of Opportunity.
The Dunkmaster can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Dunkmaster regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Move. Darius can move up to half of his movement.
Attack. Darius can make one Guillotine Axe attack.
Crippling Strike (2 Actions). Darius can use his Crippling Strike ability.
There is no greater symbol of Noxian might than Darius, the nation's most feared and battle-hardened warrior. Orphaned at a young age, Darius had to fight to keep himself and his younger brother alive. By the time he joined the military, he had already developed the strength and discipline of a veteran soldier. The first true test of Darius's resolve occurred in a crucial battle against Demacia, where the Noxian forces were exhausted and outnumbered. Darius's captain called for his troops to retreat, but Darius refused to accept such an act of cowardice. Breaking formation, Darius strode towards the captain and decapitated him with one sweep of his gigantic axe. Both terrified and inspired, the soldiers followed Darius into battle and fought with incredible strength and fervor. After a long and grueling battle, they ultimately emerged victorious.
Seizing momentum from this victory, Darius led his now fiercely loyal troops in a devastating campaign against Demacia. After proving his power on the battlefield, Darius turned his gaze homeward. He saw a Noxus riddled with weakness, where greedy, complacent nobles drained the nation's strength. Seeking to restore his country to greatness, Darius took it upon himself to reshape the Noxian leadership. He identified weak figureheads and violently removed them from their positions of power. Many in Noxus saw Darius's cull as an attempt to seize power, but he had a different plan for the throne. He had been watching the rise of Jericho Swain with keen interest. In Swain, Darius saw a leader with the mind and determination to bring Noxus to glory. Now allied with the Master Tactician, Darius works to unite the nation behind his vision of true Noxian strength.
A united Noxus could control the world - and would deserve to. -- Darius
