Crystalline Sanctuary
5th-level Abjuration
Casting time: 1 action
Range: Self (30-foot radius sphere)
Components: V, S, M (a large, finely cut gemstone worth at least 500 gp, which is not consumed)
Duration: 8 hours

You channel the protective power of gems to create a sanctuary of sparkling, translucent crystal walls that surround you. The walls extend from the ground up to 20 feet high, forming a dome or sphere around you (your choice) that encompasses a 30-foot radius.

The crystalline walls are impervious to nonmagical attacks and have resistance to all damage from spells. Creatures within the sanctuary have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects. The sanctuary is soundproof, providing a perfect environment for resting or private discussions.

Any attempt to teleport into or out of the sanctuary by non-allowed creatures fails, as the gem-infused barriers block unwanted magical travel.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the duration of the spell increases by 2 hours for each slot level above 5th, allowing for longer periods of protection and rest. Additionally, for each slot level above 5th, the sanctuary gains an enhancement:

6th Level: The sanctuary now also prevents scrying and other divination magic from perceiving into or out of the area, enhancing privacy and security.
7th Level: You can allow up to two spells of 3rd level or lower cast by creatures inside the sanctuary to pass through the barrier, extending the protective benefits without isolating the occupants completely from beneficial external magic.
8th Level: Creatures inside the sanctuary gain immunity to being frightened and have advantage on saving throws against enchantment spells and effects, reinforcing mental and emotional defenses.
9th Level: The sanctuary grants immunity to damage from one element (acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder) chosen at the time of casting, reflecting the protective qualities of the specific gem used in the casting process.
