Coug'r Paragon[edit]

The powerful Coug'r are a fierce and isolated race, usually found in tribal units in the mountains of Loupe. A naturally psionic race, they guard their secrets harshly and are fiercely territorial.

The Coug'r are a naturally psionic race that possesses a tiger-like appearance, and a powerful build to match. Unlike their distant cousins, the Coug'r are not lithe or dextrous, but instead are hardy and powerful. They also bear a much more bestial appearance than other Catfolk races. They are typically isolated to the mountainous regions of Loupe, and usually maintain little to no affiliation with the outside world or the races that settle beneath them.

The Coug'r are a prideful people, and come to appreciate the simple values of resilience and strength in others, and themselves. Most Coug'r are as statuesque as they are beastly, owing to their rough conditioning from living in the mountains for generations. While they do not value asceticism as an ideal, they do look upon self-sufficiency favorably.

Game Rule Information[edit]

Abilities: High Strength and Constitution are beneficial to Coug'r, as they tend to get directly into battle with their enemies, and their powerful builds make good use of these attributes. Wisdom is also beneficial to those Coug'r who choose to hone their natural psionic powers.

Race: Coug'r

Alignment: Usually lawful neutral.

Hit Die: d10

Class Skills[edit]

The Coug'r paragon's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Autohypnosis (Wis), Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Knowledge (psionics) (Int), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Spot (Wis), and Swim (Str).

Skill Points: (4 + Int modifier per level, ×4 at 1st level)

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Coug'r paragon class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency

A Coug'r is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and with light armor and shields (except tower shields).

Catfall (Psi)

A Coug'r paragon gains the ability to use Catfall as a Psi-Like Ability a number of times per day equal to their Wisdom modifier.

Low-Light Vision (Ex)

At 1st level, a Coug'r paragon can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.

Claws (Ex)

At 2nd level, a Coug'r is able to utilize its two claws as a natural weapon, dealing 1d4 piercing and slashing damage on a successful attack.

Ability Boost (Ex)

At 3rd level, a Coug'r paragon increases one of the following ability scores by 2 points: Strength, Constitution, or Wisdom.

Pounce (Ex)

At 3rd level, a Coug'r paragon gains the Pounce ability.
