Candy person[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

This race looks exactly how it is named. Candy People come in two different sub-races: humanoids and a literal candy person. A humanoid candy person is exactly as it sounds. They look like your everyday human but are easy to tell apart from humans do to factors such as unnatural skin color, and hair and body texture. Humanoid candy people may look different from their peers but they are still made out of candy that is free to mold and even eat! The much smaller sub-race within the candy people's existence are quite literally the candy they look like. They can range from looking like a gumdrop to a literal gumball! They are much smaller than their humanoid counterparts- about the size of your average dwarf! They still don arms and legs and the usual face, but they're just shaped like candy! What they both have in common is that they're usually the texture that corresponds with their candy or sweet! They can be soft and malleable or hard and brittle. But every person within the candy person race seems to not have the ability to bleed and given the time can regenerate any missing pieces of themselves!

History[edit]

There is an old folk tale told within the candy people. It is said that they were created by no mere god- but a person who had figured out the key to life and how to create it in a way the world has never seen before and thus they were all created. How this supposed creator looks was never known- but it was said they were of the humanoid bloodline and that the humanoid candy people are most likely to be directly related to their creator. Some believe the tale while others write it off as a simple children's story. This supposed creator had long ago set up a kingdom to be their safe haven and taught the people that the answer to things was to be kind and thoughtful and to do what they see right! Candy people usually live up to these ideals and do the best they can for their families and people!

Society[edit]

Candy people who aren't humanoids are typically seen as a bit odd by outsiders. They don't fit in well with other races who are typically more humanoid than they are- so they may be given weird looks or people may even be hesitant to approach them. However, it seems the candy people don't notice. Both the smaller part and the humanoids seem to be friendly and outgoing- greeting people with a smile! However, the humanoids are more - well, human. They are not always as happy and friendly as their counterparts and usually have a higher intellect that allows them to see the way others outside of the candy kingdom may perceive their kind. Regardless, they try to keep up a friendly attitude and let their counterparts live happily in ignorant bliss. Humanoid candy people, in addition, are more accepted by other races! While both sub-races candy appearance, smell, and edibility may be off-putting they're quick to make friends and alliances.

Candy People Names[edit]

A candy person can have any first name imaginable! What their name really comes down to is their last name. Most candy people are referred to by their last name alone and usually only give first names to close friends or family. If they're made of bubblegum they have a last name like "Bubblegum" or "Gumball." Same goes if they're made out of butterscotch, peppermint, candy corn, etc. They will have a last name referring to their candy type. However, there seems to be a trend where the first letter of the first name usually matches the first letter of the last name- but it is not a rule- just something common within the candy people!

As a humanoid you live with the thought that your lineage was specifically made to look like the person who made you. You are typically more respected due to this and it can easily get to your head that you are better than everyone else. These humanoids may look like humans but they are still made out of candy. The candy they're made out of can be anything- from bubblegum to taffy, to chocolate- just molded in a human-like way. Typically these humanoids are smarter than their counterparts and study more rigorously for the sake of their life, freedom, and kingdom.
