Blowfat Syndrome[edit]

Contracting Blowfat[edit]

Blowfat can be contracted by eating over 4% of your body weight in 1d2 hours. If you are bitten in the stomach or stabbed in the belly with a poisoned knife, it may also afflict you.

Effects[edit]

Once afflicted, the disease lies dormant for 1d4 hours before Stage 1 takes effect.

Stage 1: The afflicted's belly becomes slightly larger. You gain Constitution score increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. This will last for 1d3 hours.

Stage 2: The afflicted's muscles begin to grow larger, but softer. Their belly expands once again. You gain Constitution score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20, and your Dexterity score decreases by 1, to a minimum of 3. This will last for 1d2 hours.

Stage 3: The afflicted begin to become tougher and lose Strength as their belly becomes a potbelly and their muscles grow and lose tone. You gain 1.2x weight, and your Constitution score increases by 4, to a maximum of 24. Your Dexterity score decreases by 2 and your Strength score decreases by 1, to a minimum of 3. This will last for 1d3 hours.

Stage 4: The afflicted's belly and muscles expand and soften once again as they continue to gain weight. You gain 1.5x weight, and your Constitution score increases by 5, to a maximum of 24. Your Dexterity score decreases by 4 and your Strength score decreases by 2, to a minimum of 3. This will last for 1d3 hours.

Stage 5: The disease begins to infect the afflicted's mind, shifting their mindset. Your alignment shifts to Chaotic Neutral, if it wasn't already. You gain 1.8x weight, and your Constitution score increases by 5, to a maximum of 24. Your Dexterity score decreases by 6, your Strength score decreases by 5, and your Intelligence decreases by 2, to a minimum of 1. This lasts for 1d3 hours.

Stage 6: Your muscles and belly grow further, eliminating any muscle tone the user has left. Fat centers towards the belly, making it almost immune to pain. However, your mindset further shifts. You now have an extreme craving for food and mead. You gain 2.3x weight and now have an immunity to piercing damage. Your Constitution score increases by 8, to a maximum of 26. Your Dexterity score decreases by 9, your Strength score decreases by 5, and your Intelligence decreases by 3, to a minimum of 1. This lasts for 1d4 hours.

Stage 7: The afflicted's belly and muscle growth slow down as they begin to enter Stage 8. If the afflicted has wings and/or a tail, they become unusable. You gain 2.6x weight and have vulnerability to fire damage. Your Constitution score increases by 9, to a maximum of 26. Your Dexterity score decreases by 11, your Strength score decreases by 6, and your Intelligence decreases by 4, to a minimum of 1. This lasts for 1d2 hours.

Stage 8: Muscle and belly growth stop as the disease begins to enter Permanent Mode. There is a delay of 1 hour until Permanent Mode is entered.

Permanent Mode: The disease makes home in the bloodstream as the belly and muscles enters one last growth spurt before stopping. The disease is now incurable by normal means. The afflicted can no longer wear chest armor. If the afflicted has wings, they become permanently unusable, and if they have a tail, it fattens up and amplifies the weight by 20 pounds. Your weight is now 3.5x times more than it was. Your Constitution score increases by 11, to a maximum of 26. Your Dexterity score decreases by 14, your Strength score decreases by 9, and your Intelligence decreases by 6, to a minimum of 1.

Immunity and Treatment[edit]

Undead, elementals, constructs, and plants are automatically immune to the disease. Humanoids, dragons, and giants are especially prone to the disease.

Blowfat cannot be cured while it is dormant and Stage 1. At Stage 2 to Stage 5, it can be cured with lesser restoration with a spell slot of 3 or higher. Once Stage 6 is reached, it can be cured with greater restoration with a spell slot of 6 or higher, or a wish. Once the afflicted enters Permanent Mode, it can only be cured by a wish to a greater deity.
