Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee[edit]

For Eilistraee's Drow worshippers, life is difficult and dangerous. There exists a constant fear of being attacked by the untrusting surface dwellers, or their own less virtuous kin, along with the more normal perils of life on Abeir-Toril. For this reason, Eilistraee's clergy has recently begun training their most promising initiates in more medicinal and diplomatic arts. The hope is that these new, sociable, "Blessed Emissaries of Eilistraee" would serve as paragons of these fearful and few good Drow, and in time earn a lasting place for the Dark Maiden's people among the races of the surface.

Class Features[edit]

All the following are class features of the Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Blessed Emissaries of Eilistraee are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, all armor, and all shields (except tower shields).

Aura: A Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee's aura continues to increase in power as though she were still a member of the class that granted her the aura.

Lunar Affinity: Several of a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee's spells are slightly more powerful than normal. Her moonbeam does an additional 1d6 damage to lycanthropes. Her moon blade deals 2d6 damage (instead of 1d8). Against undead, her moon blade deals 3d6 damage (instead of 2d8). In addition, the moon blade has reach, so she can strike opponents 10 feet away with it. Unlike most other weapons with reach, it can be used against an adjacent foe. Finally, the range of her moonfire is doubled, to 50 ft. plus an additional 5 feet per level.

Spells per Day/Spells Known: When a new Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee level is gained, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if she had also gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class in which she belonged before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If a character had more than one spellcasting class in which she could cast 1st-level divine spells before she became a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee, she must decide to which class she adds each level of Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee for the purpose of determining spells per day.

Turn Undead: A Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee adds her Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee levels to her cleric levels for all purposes related to turning undead or lycanthropes.

Divine Health (Ex): A Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee who is at least 2nd level is immune to all diseases, including magical diseases such as mummy rot and lycanthropy.

Empower Healing (Ex): When a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee of at least 2nd level casts a spell from the Healing subschool that restores HP, that spell is affected as though by the Empower Spell feat. This spell does not use up a higher-level slot.

Blessed Charm (Ex): Starting at 3rd level, a Blessed Emissary gains a +5 perfection bonus to Diplomacy checks.

Bonus Domain: A Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee who reaches 5th level is granted another of Eilistraee's domains as a third cleric domain, or she can choose either the Community or Healing domain. She can use the granted power of the new domain, and she can choose from the spell lists of three domains when selecting her domain spells for the day.

Maximize Healing (Ex): When a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee who is at least 6th level casts a spell from the Healing subschool that restores HP, that spell is affected as though by the Maximize Spell feat. This spell does not use up a higher-level slot. This power replaces the Empower Healing ability until the character reaches 10th level.

Blessed Resistance (Ex): Stating from 8th level, a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee is immune to all poisons, including magical poisons such as the spell Poison.

Supreme Healing (Ex): When a Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee who is at least 10th level casts a spell from the Healing subschool that restores HP, that spell is affected as though by both the Empower Spell and the Maximize Spell feats. The spell does not use up a higher-level slot. This power replaces the Maximize Healing ability.

Notes[edit]

This class is very specifically designed for the Forgotten Realms setting. If the DM is allowing other versions of the Drow race in this setting, they may take this class just as a Drow from the SRD could.
