Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: This race appears to be deliberately overpowered, with traits like blindsight, regeneration, advantage on all saves against all magic effects, and more.

Baby Tarrasque

Freshly hatched from your egg, you are ready for the feast that is existence.

Physical Description

Hulking masses of muscle and armor, Tarrasques instill terror into even the most brave creatures. Though small sized, you still look ferocious, though adorable to many humanoids as well.

Tarrasque Names

Tarrasques are given many names, almost all being related to disasters.

Baby Tarrasque Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2 and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age. Unless killed, a Tarrasque is immortal. Of course, should they die, another is born elsewhere.
Alignment. Tarrasques are the embodiment of destruction and hunger, as such they lead towards neutral alignments.
Size. A full grown Tarrasque is over 50 feet tall and 70 feet long. As a child, you are still needing your growth spurts to reach that. Your size is small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. You also have a 10 foot burrow speed.
Sight. You have 20 feet of blindsight.
Regeneration. At the start of your turn, you regain 1 hit point unless you are incapacitated.
Reflective Carapace. Any time you are targeted by a magic missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, roll a d12. On a 12, you are unaffected, and the effect is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from you, turning the caster into the target. You also have advantage on saving throws versus spells or other magical effects.
Tough Constitution. Your hide is fire treated and your hunger so intense not even the best poison escape your stomach. You have resistance to fire damage and advantage on saves versus being poisoned. In addition, your hit point maximum is increased by 1, and increases by 1 whenever you gain a level.
Armored Behemoth. Your are covered in protective armor and scales that put even the finest of dwarven armor to shame. While wearing no armor and not using a shield, your armor class equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier.
Natural Predator. You are the ultimate predator even while newborn. Your bite is a natural weapon that deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier piercing damage, and you have two claws that do 1d4 + your Strength modifier slashing damage. Your horns and tail unfortunately are too small to use at this stage in life.
Languages. You can understand Common and Primordial, but cannot speak.
