Artifacts[edit]
Artifacts are unique items found inside dungeons, either as loot, treasures guarded by bosses, or dropped by slain magic beasts. Many artifacts are imbued with magic or power beyond that of ordinary gear, making them highly desirable to hunters and guilds alike. Most artifacts are sold to the public or collected by the government, but some remain in the hands of elite hunters or disappear into private collections.
Artifacts are ranked from E to S, in accordance with dungeon classifications. An item’s rank reflects its power, rarity, and potential for magical enhancement.

A pair of legendary black shortswords obtained from defeating Baran, the Demon King. Forged to be wielded as a dual set, each blade crackles with raw demonic energy. When you attack with both weapons on the same turn, you may reroll one of the damage dice.
If both swords are equipped, you gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and your attacks deal an additional 2d6 necrotic damage. On a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn.

A cursed dagger specialized for dealing with armored foes, looted from an A-Rank dungeon. It hums with hatred for shields and plate.
This weapon ignores resistance to piercing damage from nonmagical sources. Against enemies wearing heavy armor or wielding a shield, you gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. On a hit, you may force the target to make a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Once wielded by the High Orc assassin Baruka, this curved dagger is perfectly balanced and steeped in blood magic. Its edge drinks the vitality of enemies.
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you hit a creature with this dagger, you regain hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. Once per long rest, you may cast Invisibility as a bonus action.

While wearing this item, your Cursed Energy (or Mana) maximum increases by 10. In addition, once per long rest, you may cast Fireball at 3rd level using your spell save DC.

A helm taken from the elite Red Knight found guarding key areas within high-grade dungeons. Its defense is unparalleled, and it gives off a faint magical glow.
While wearing this helm, you have resistance to psychic damage and gain a +1 bonus to AC. If you would be critically hit, you may use your reaction to turn the attack into a normal hit (once per long rest).
