A fearsome pack predator among dinosaurs, families of albertosaurs work together to take down larger prey in their cold mountain homes. Luring would-be predators, younger albertosaurs lead their competition into deadly ambushes, where the adults quickly take down their next meal with the help of their offspring. Though they prefer to hunt in groups, an albertosaurus sometimes gets lost or separated from its pack, forcing it to hunt smaller creatures and even fleeing from anything it deems to be too much of a risk to hunt, including polar bears, winter wolves, and sometimes even humanoids, recognizing the danger they pose if it was a survivor of a hunting party.
