Weapon (shortsword), artifact

This sword appears to be a normal wooden sparring shortsword. However, it holds tremendous magical power and is a deadly weapon.
Random Properties. The A Normal Wooden Sword has the following random properties:

  • 1 minor beneficial property
  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 1 minor detrimental property


Unbreakable. This item cannot be destroyed by any means. While wielding this weapon you gain +1 AC.

Magical Wood. This weapon deals 2d4 damage instead of 1d4.

Absolute Agony. This weapon deals psychic damage instead of bludgeoning damage.

Fear Inducing. While in combat, you can make all hostile creatures within 30 feet of your position roll a D20 Charisma saving throw with a DC of 17 as a bonus action. On a failed roll, the creature(s) are frightened of you till the start of your next turn, and on a success, the creature(s) cannot be frightened for the rest of combat. You can use Fear Inducing up to half of your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all uses after a long rest
Destroying the A Normal Wooden Sword. Has the features of a regular wooden sword (1d4 bludgeoning damage) when in an antimagic field.
