Tiefling Variant[edit]

Tieflings born from the bloodline of Zariel, an archduchess of Hell, inherit the strength and ferocity of their infernal progenitor. This variant emphasizes their connection to battle, discipline, and the fiery wrath of their demonic heritage.

Appearance:

Zariel Tieflings often possess tan or dark skin with white markings across their bodies. These markings glow faintly with infernal energy, especially during moments of intense emotion, rage, or spellcasting. They often have fiery red or orange eyes, and their hair can range from white to dark shades, with a wild or untamed look that complements their fierce heritage.

Ability Score Increase: As a descendant of Zariel, you are naturally strong and disciplined. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age: Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer, typically up to 150 years.

Alignment: Zariel Tieflings tend towards lawful alignments, influenced by their infernal heritage and a desire for strength and power. While many lean towards evil, some choose to remain neutral or even good, balancing their infernal powers with a sense of honor or responsibility.

Size: Tieflings are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium.

Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Infernal Legacy. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast searing smite once per day as a 1st-level spell. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast branding smite once per day as a 2nd-level spell. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Hellish Resistance: You have resistance to fire damage.

Martial Training: You have proficiency with martial weapons and shields, reflecting your inherent battle prowess and training in the ways of war.

Sin Markings: You have white markings on your body, which are an outward reflection of the infernal power within. These markings glow faintly when you are in a rage or casting your infernal spells.

Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common, Infernal, and Abyssal. The infernal tongue flows naturally to you, while your knowledge of Abyssal represents your connection to darker, chaotic forces.
