Small and Stable. Woodkin are an ancient race of dwarves that abandoned the astral forests as their home. Now they wander the forests of earth, protecting them at all cost no matter what the odds. Just like their dwarven successors they share a deep hatred for goblins, orcs, and anything that would harm the wild

Physical Qualities[edit]

Woodkin are much like dwarves, except their bodies are wooden and their beard and hair thick flowing vines. As far as being a Dwarven Predecessor goes, they are of their height and weight. Their limbs are stubby and their chests broad and oaken. Even with their gruff and muscular statue, they are as agile as the elves that reside in their forests, and as such they are capable of amazing acrobatic feats.

Playing a Woodkin[edit]

Woodkin are wooden dwarves created by corellon to serve him in the war against the primordials. They did as such until they decided to abandon their astral home and live among the mortals. Now residents of any forest they can find, Woodkin are wilderness defenders, regardless of class. They are one with the wild and live in harmony with nature. Being part primordial, Woodkins often ponder their purpose of creation as they were created to obliterate the primordials. They enjoy beating their mortal energies into submission and take great joy in battle.

Woodkin find no comfort in big industrial towns, they are creatures of the wild, used to the open sky and wide swath of trees. They love the forest and all that inhabit it, except for goblins. Even with dwarven roots, they are also wise as being in existence as long as the first forests were planted. Being close cousins of the dryads, it is not uncommon for them to make military alliances and even friendship with them. They utilize nature as a dangerous weapon and use it as skilled as a warrior would use his or her sword. Woodkin may seem easy to torch until they brun into ashes but corellon graced them with the resistance to fire as a regular dwarf would burn.

Woodkin are strict producers, never consuming any living organism, even in dire circumstances they will stick to their diet of sunlight and water. Even though they are not technically living as they are entirely made of wood, they still require food, water, and oxygen. Some of them are evergreen and their beards stay green year round and some change their color seasonally. Woodkin are fiercly loyal to their allies and freinds and will fight to the death to protect them Woodkin Characteristics: brave, strong, tough, wise, natural

Woodkin Adventurers[edit]

Three Woodkin adventurers are described below.

Oak is a Woodkin fighter. He lives and mines as one of the dwarves and joins them in raids against the goblins and orcs. Although he has come to consider him as one of the dwarves, he feels a sense of uniqueness from being a Woodkin. His axe is notched and stained from the blood of primordials as he was a fighter of corellon in his early days, though he loves the forests of Earth he longs for his home to once again live with his creator.

Flora is a Woodkin druid, once the defender of a redwood forest, now serving a Dwarven king. At a very young age her forest was burned down by an orc raiding party. But kind Birch found her and raised her as his own daughter. She is a skilled magic user on the battlefield and an excellent healer and caretaker of nature outside of it. She swore vengance on the orc raiding party and to this day hunts them down.

Bush is an evil Woodkin ranger, once a head gaurd of corellons army, now fighter of his own sake. He has all but foresaken the ways of his people and now kills what he wants, when he wants. lately though, an angel of vengance has been sent upon him and now he regrets going rouge. He hides in any hole he can find to avoid the angel and prays to corellon for forgiveness for his wrongdoings.
