Way of the Temporal Anomaly[edit]

Monk Subclass

Blessed with the ability to tamper with time, those who follow in the ways of the Temporal Fist learn to pause, shift and alter the speed of time with their willpower alone. Be it for enhancing their combat prowess, or to experience and change their fate.

Timeflow Control

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you open yourself to connect to the time stream, and, after experiencing an event, can jump back and change it, in hopes of saving, or even jeopardizing, yourself and others. After a long rest, roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these hindsight rolls. Each hindsight roll can be used only once. You may spend 1 ki point to roll an additional d20 to the pool of hindsight up to a maximum of 5. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls. Unfortunately, your control of time is quite risky, if you fall to 0 ki you must make a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC. On a failure you take 3d6 psychic damage, increasing by 1d6 per level, as the borders of reality start to suck you out. You must repeat this save at the end of every hour you spend with 0 ki points.

Cronomatic Counter

At 3rd level, your newfound temporal control allows you to pause time for a moment, move and strike your opponent in retaliation. When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend 1 ki point to retaliate with a melee weapon attack against the creature. At 11th level, you can make a second melee weapon attack. At 17th level, you can make three melee weapon attacks.

Increased Ki Flow

At 6th level, your control of ki has granted you an abnormal amount of internal power. Your ki point maximum increases by an amount equal to your Wisdom score.

Temporal Adept

At 11th level, you've grown considerably in your control over time, and can hold it in place for much longer, and even interfere with and move objects. You may use the following benefits from the table below.

Ki Point Cost Temporal Adept effect
2 ki points Your connection to the time-stream allows you to unpredictably alter time, and can quickfire wild temporal resets on demand (warning: the outcome could end up worse than it was before) As a reaction, you can reroll an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw. Or, as a reaction, can force this reroll on a targeted creature.
3 ki points You are able to blink objects back to any position you were in previously in time. A creature or object you touch can teleports to an unoccupied space the you can see. The creature must have occupied that space at some point during the previous or current turn.
4 ki points You gain the ability to temporarily hasten someones movement through time. A creature you touch gains Action Surge for one turn, their speed is doubled and their movement doesn’t provoke attack of opportunity.
10 ki points As an action, you can cast the spell Time Stop. You may use this feature once and regain the ability to do so after a long rest.
Temporal Mastery

At 17th level, you have complete and utter control over time allowing you to slow down, stop, and speed up time to your whims. You may activate each of Temporal Adept's features once without spending the ki cost.
