Way of the Storm Soul

The Stormsoul monk studies storms and turbulent skies for parallels between the heavens and the true self. By meditating on the power of actions negative and positive, they learn to channel the balancing force of lightning through their limbs. Because Stormsoul monks believe in the achievement of balance through equal imbalance, they cannot walk the unfocused path of neutrality.

Notice

This archetype is very loosely based off Way of the Sun Soul, as found in Xanathar's Guide To Everything.

Fulminic Blows

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can charge your unarmed strikes with electricity, drawn from natural imbalances of the soul. Whenever you make a unarmed strike, you can choose to deal lightning damage, instead of bludgeoning damage. When you do so, your reach increase in 15 feet. In addition, once in each of your turns when you cause lighting damage with an unarmed strike during a flurry of blows, you can push the target Large or smaller up to 15 feet towards you on a hit. If the target is bigger than Large, you can choose to move yourself 15 feet towards the target.

Galvanic Arc

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into a crackling arc of electrical energy. As an action, you can force all creatures in a 15-foot cone to make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failed save, the target's take lightning damage equal to three rolls of your martial arts die and can't take reactions until the end of your next turn. When you use your flurry of blows, you can replace both of your attacks made as a bonus action by a use of this feature.

Gnostic Capacitor

At 11th level, you gain the ability to polarize ki and store it in the folds of your consciousness as untapped electrical energy. As an action, you can focus on charging the electrical energy using your ki, by spending 1 ki point per turn of charge, up to a number of turns equal to your proficiency bonus. Keeping the energy stored requires concentration, as if you were concentrating on a spell. You can release the energy as an action, and the energy release lasts for 1 minute. On the turn you release the energy and as an action on each turn for the duration, you can unleash a lightning bolt in a line of 5-foot per 60-foot. Creatures on the line must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take damage equal to the number of turns you spent charging x your martial arts die, or half as much on a success. On a failed save, the creature can't take reactions and is pulled up to 60 feet towards you. Any energy charged in you is lost after a short or a long rest. Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Eidolon of The Storm

At 17th level, you learn to achieve perfect balance of form, solidifying soul with body, and infusing body with soul.

Blue-white plasma wreaths your form, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius, and dim light in a radius 30 feet beyond that. You may leave and enter this state as a bonus action.

While in this form, you move as a bolt of lightning. You can move trough other creature's spaces, and whenever you move through the space of a creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw, or take lightning damage equal to your martial arts die. If your gnostic capacitor is active, you can use your action to deal its damage towards the targets in your path, instead of targeting a line.
