Way of the Fusion[edit]

Monk Subclass

"For a fusion to work, there needs to be balance. An imbalance can cause your fusion to lose touch with reality, see things that aren't there, and eventually fall apart. That is to say, if one of you is falling apart, your fusion will as well. To find balance, you must understand your feelings. To understand your feelings, you must see them clearly without running from them."

The Way of the Fusion was founded by Garnet, a fusion herself. Born from a relationship of love, to Garnet fusion is much more than just a weapon. Monk of the Way of the Fusion look to master the art of fusing. Their fusions are more stable, more powerful, and ready to take a challenge head-on.

Stronger Than You[edit]

"Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able Can't you see that my relationship is stable?"

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you are eager and ready to face your opponents.

Every time you fight an opponent with a CR higher than your level, you gain advantage on your attack rolls against them.

Mindful Education[edit]

"Take a moment to think of just, Flexibility, love, and trust."

At 6h level, you understand the importance of flexibility, love, and trust in the formation of a fusion.

You can spend 3 ki point to enter Mindful Mode. You gain the following benefits:

  • You have advantage on Wisdom checks and Wisdom saving throws.
  • When you make an attack, you can add your Wisdom modifier to the roll, and use it instead of Strength on your damage roll.
  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Mindful Mode ends if you don't deal damage during your turn, if you're knocked out, or if you choose to end it.

At 11th level, you're getting better and better at the ways of fusion.

You and your fusion partner both have advantage on the Wisdom throw to form a fusion.

Fusion Mastery[edit]

"Fusion is serious magic, not a trick for dinner parties."

At 17th level, you have achieved mastery at the art of fusion.

  • You can spend 3 ki points so you're the only one who needs to perform a WIS check to form a fusion.
  • Your fusions gain an extra attack per turn.
  • While normal gems can only fuse if all of the fusion's components are separated, a master of the art can form a new fusion while already fused.
