Vileborn

A Vileborn is someone touched by the same infection that creates Malborne — but instead of transforming completely, your body resisted. Something inside you fought back. You are feared, hated, and often misunderstood… but you are exactly what the world needs to fight back. Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2. Age. Vileborn mature at the same rate as other humans, but their bodies often develop strange resilience or symptoms early in life. While they live human-length lifespans, many die young — hunted, feared, or broken by what festers within. Alignment. Vileborn are shaped by how they handle the corruption in their blood. Some embrace its power and edge toward chaos or evil; others resist it and cling to personal codes of honor, often leaning neutral. Size. Vileborn are Medium, though their forms may bear subtle signs of mutation — elongated limbs, discolored veins, or unnatural eyes. Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Monstrous Echo. Once per long rest, when you take damage from a creature within 10 feet, you may reflexively unleash a corrupted burst of monstrous force. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take necrotic damage equal to your level and be pushed 5 feet away.

Malborne Instinct. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) or Intelligence (Arcana) checks (your choice) made to track, identify, or understand Malborne creatures and their corruption.
