<Vaedeir Flower>[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Beautiful blue petals radiating with mana. These flowers often gather in a small cluster of blooming beauties as they drift along the water's surface.

Ecology[edit]

Not much is known about it's Ecology as most creatures tend to avoid the plant on instinct. Strangely enough, Lunar Moths are unaffected by the flower and even tend to carry it's seeds across vast distances as they fly.

Growth and Harvest[edit]

Vaedeir seeds only form when the area the flower is in begins to lose magic. Seeds can remain in stasis indefinitely until it is planted in an area of concentrated magic. They grow on the banks of water and break from the soil to glide on top of pools of water when fully developed. The pollen of this plant can be harvested with a DC17 Nature check. On a failed check the individual interacting with the plant suffers from the plant's negative effects. A caster of at least 9th level can use the Druidcraft cantrip to gently harvest a single use of the plant's pollen. Only 1 dose can be extracted from a flower per day.

Edibility[edit]

These plants are NOT edible.

Vaedeir Flower Traits[edit]

Age. Vaedeir Flowers take 7 months to grow from a seed, and when fully developed can persist forever so long as it has a steady supply of magic. When fully developed the flower can persist indefinitely unless it no longer has a steady pool of mana.
Size. The flower often grows to be 1ft tall and 15 inches in diameter
Neurotoxin. Those injured by a weapon coated with Vaedeir pollen must make a 17 Con save. On a failed save nothing happens on the turn to follow, however on the next turn they are paralyzed. This effect persists for 2 hours or until the afflicted individual has the Greater Restoration spell cast upon them.
AntiMagic Poison. Those afflicted by this plant's Neurotoxin are unable to use magic or magical effects at the point of a failed save.
Magic Necrosis. Spellcasters afflicted by this plant's Neurotoxin take xd4 necrotic damage at the start of every turn. X= the caster's highest spell slot. Ex: a level 5 Cleric will take 3d4 necrotic damage at the start of each turn.
