A Mageblade

Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

A long, pearlescent blade wrapped in the finest leathers upon the hilt. Polished to perfection, you can feel the raw energy pulsing through the blade as if it were alive.

Upon attunement, you gain proficiency with the weapon and can use it as your spellcasting focus. In addition, while attacking with the weapon, you use your spellcasting ability modifier for both attack and damage rolls. Finally, you can use an action to store a spell of 4th level or lower into the blade by casting the spell through normal means, but storing the effects. If a spell is stored in the blade, you can use your bonus action on your turn to activate the stored effect. If the spell's effect is already cast as a bonus action, you can use your reaction to activate it instead.

If unattuned, any spell that is stored in the blade is lost and you lose proficiency with the weapon.
