Two-tone Camouflage Poncho[edit]

The poncho is made out of a heavy cotton. Unlike most clothing that consists of one technical layer, this Two-tone Camouflage Poncho has a second suit stitched inside of it. By doing this, the owner can remove the poncho, turn it inside-out, and reveal a second type of camouflage.

When purchased, the buyer may choose various types of camouflage to have painted onto the poncho's two layers. Each layer will grant a +1 Circumstance Hide Bonus when moving at half speed, a +3 Circumstance Hide Bonus when crouched and moving at 1/4th speed, and a +5 Circumstance Hide Bonus when stationary. There is no "double bonus" if both layers are of the same camouflage type, therefore it is pointless to have both be the same.

The paint will not reveal itself from one side to the other; The interior will not reflect the exterior's effectiveness. The only time this would occur is when gaping holes are torn through the fabric, at which point there is a -3 penalty to the Hide Bonus that it provides. This occurs when the poncho is reduced to 0 health.

A list of various camouflage types that can be chosen are the following, but feel free to add new according to personal environment.

Arid, Darkness, Forest, Jungle, Marsh, Mountainous, plain, Snow, Urban brickwork, Urban stonework, Urban woodwork.

This does not naturally protect against magical or extraordinary forms of detection, merely basic sight. However it can be enchanted properly to do so. When enchanting, the entire poncho counts as one item.

The poncho's base price is only 10 GP for the basic fabric, however the additional cost for the camouflage is 50 GP per side (In total 110 GP). This is for a Medium Size. It is 1/2 for Small and lower, while every step larger than Medium is an additional 50%.

The poncho always has 10 HP and a Hardness of 0.

Donning the poncho is a Full Action Round, while removing it is a Move Action. Turning it inside out is a Standard Action, and putting it back on is another Full Action Round. This accounts for snugly fitting it over other armor and weapons.

The poncho can be removed as a Swift Action and put on as a Standard Action, however there is a 10% chance of ripping holes in it with weapons on your person with an additional 5% chance when wearing Light Armor, 10% chance when wearing Medium Armor, and 15% chance when wearing Large Armor.

Donning, removing, and turning inside out requires both hands.

Armor Spikes and similar items will always rip holes in the poncho. Each Round, including the rounds to Don and remove, will cause +1 damage to it while moving.
