Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the True Sharpshooter.

Speed Increase (Ex): A True Sharpshooter increases their base land speed by 5ft every 3rd level they take in the class.

Extended Range (Ex): Starting at 1st level the True Sharpshooter increases their range increments and their maximum range for any precision attacks by 5ft per level of True Sharpshooter. This means a 5th level True Sharpshooter using a Longbow would have range increments of 175ft (normal range 100ft, +50ft for Far Shot, +25ft for True Sharpshooter) & if they have any precision attacks (such as Sneak Attack) that their maximum range would be 55ft (Base of 30ft + 25ft).

Uncanny Sight (Ex): A True Sharpshooter adds their class levels to all Spot & Survival checks. Additionally they increase their range increments for spot checks by 5ft for every 2 class levels they take.

Sharp Shooting (Ex): A True Sharpshooter's skill with their bow allows them to strike accurately at foes, even when they are attempting to take advantage of cover or concealment. Beginning at 2nd level, a True Sharpshooter's target receives cover or concealment one step worse than they should. For example, a target with three-quarters cover is treated as if they had one-half cover. At 5th level, a True Sharpshooter ignores two steps of cover or concealment, so the same target would be treated as if he had one-quarter cover instead of three quarters cover. At 9th level, a True Sharpshooter ignores three steps of cover or concealment. This ability has no effect against foes with total cover.

Ranged Sneak Attack (Ex): When wearing light armor or no armor, a True Sharpshooter can draw and fire in a split second, catching their target unaware. They lose this special ability when fighting in medium or heavy armor. At 2nd level, a True Sharpshooter gains the ability to execute a ranged sneak attack if they catche an opponent unable to defend himself from attack. Any time the True Sharpshooter's opponent would be denied their Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (whether they actually have a Dexterity bonus or not), the True Sharpshooter's ranged attack deals +1d6 points of extra damage. This extra damage increases to +2d6 at 5th level, and +3d6 at 8th level. Should the True Sharpshooter score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. It takes precision and penetration to hit a vital spot, so their ranged attacks can only count as sneak attacks if the target is no farther than 30 feet (not accounting for Extended Range) away. A True Sharpshooter can only sneak attack living creatures with discernible anatomies—undead, constructs, oozes, plants, and incorporeal creatures lack vital areas to strike. Additionally, any creature immune to critical hits is similarly immune to sneak attacks. The True Sharpshooter must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot. The True Sharpshooter cannot sneak attack while striking at a creature with concealment (unless her sharp shooting ability overcomes the concealment; see below) or by striking at the limbs of a creature whose vitals are not in her line of sight. If the True Sharpshooter gets a sneak attack bonus from another source (such as rogue levels), the bonuses to damage stack.

Archer's Training (Ex): At 3rd level & every 3 levels thereafter the True Sharpshooter gains a bonus feat. They must meet all prerequisites of the feat & the feat must be related to ranged combat.

Keen Arrows (Ex): Beginning at 3rd level a True Sharpshooter increases the critical threat range of any projectile weapon that they have the Weapon Focus feat for by 1, this bonus increases every 4 levels. Meaning a 7th level True Sharpshooter using a longbow threatens a critical on an 18-20. This bonus does not stack with the keen weapon feat or similar effects.

Flurry of Arrows (Ex): At 4th level a True Sharpshooter reduces the total penalty when using the Manyshot & Greater Manyshot feat by half their class level -1. This means a 6th Level True Sharpshooter that fired 3 arrows at once would only have a -4 penalty on their attack rolls instead of a -6. This reduction cannot reduce the penalty below 0.

Devastating Shot (Ex): Starting at 5th level a True Sharpshooter learns to make great use of their precision shots. They increase their critical damage multiplier by 1 and gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls to confirm critical hits. The bonus increases by 1 every 5 levels thereafter.

Close Combat Shot (Ex): Starting at 7th level a True Sharpshooter no longer provokes attacks of opportunity for using a projectile weapon that they have the weapon focus feat for when in melee.

Reactive Archery (Ex): Starting at 9th level a True Sharpshooter can now make attacks of opportunity using a projectile weapon that they have the weapon focus feat for. They can make attacks of opportunity out to a maximum distance equal to their Extended Range bonus (45ft at level 9), there are no range increments for attacks of opportunity, if the target is not within this range, they do not trigger attacks of opportunity from the True Sharpshooter.

Rain of Arrows (Ex): The pinnacle of a True Sharpshooter, they can use the Manyshot & Greater Manyshot feats as part of a full attack. Meaning they can fire multiple arrows with each iterative attack. The penalties are based on how many arrows are fired with each shot & all bonuses & penalties apply normally.

The epic True Sharpshooter gains a bonus feat (selected from the list of epic True Sharpshooter feats) every 3 levels after 10th level.
