Drakkenian History[edit]

The Thirteen Tribes and the First Realm[edit]

The thirteen tribes are the oldest human ancestors with a still preserved culture. They were a civilization who spread through the extreme south and part of the east coast in Daear. Although they were collectively called "The Thirteen Tribes", they didn't saw themselves as part of a same nation, and they would occasionally fight against themselves, as often as they would fight humans from other regions or members of other races.

The Raiders Period

The plains who extend through great portion of the center of the Daear continent were controlled by nomadic orcish nations. The orcs would constantly pillage human settlements, which eventually led to the unification of some tribes into larger realms. The first one of them was the Realm of Zentharia, formed by two tribes who forged an alliance through marriage of their son and daughter. This allowed them to better resist to the orc invasions.

Tyrian History[edit]

The Age of the Dragon Worshipers[edit]

In the beginning, Tyr were nothing more than one of the thirteen realms that formed the Drakkenian Realm. The Realm of Drakkenia was a theocracy, founded in the worship of the Dragon Lords, sorcerers of great power, with the bodies infused with dragon bones.

Their magic was raw, powerful, but uncontrollable. Yet, the alliance of the thirteen human tribes, alongside with the raw magical power of their dragon lords and sorcerers, was enough to keep the orcs and dwarves at bay.

During that period, there was not really a thought of expansion. Sure, there were wars against the neighboring humanoid races here and there, but no serious attempt of conquest, specially because the biggest conflicts for drakkenians were important. Dragon Lords were constantly plotting against each other, and the role of King of Drakkenian was always under threat.

The Last Revolt

The power of Drakkenia relied heavily in the numbers of their slaves. They had both birth slaves, who were created on slave cities, but also captured prisoners of war from other races and from their own. The richness and power of a noble in drakkenia was heavily tied to their ownership over slaves.

From the slaves cities was born Thorgul, that who is called "Dragonbane". Thorgul managed to lead a slave revolution, leading to the death of the dragon lord of Tyr and the leader of the Last Slave Revolt.

Foundation of the Realm of Tyr and the Age of Alliance[edit]

The Forging of the Trine Compact

After Thorgul killed one of the Dragon Lords and took control over Tyr, he knew he had to act fast, or they would be obliterated by the remaining lords. He travelled to Rinn and Goh'rak, to forge alliances with the orc and dwarvish leaders, forging the Trine Compact, an alliance of tyrians, rinninans and goh'rakians against the oppressive force of the Drakkenian empire.

The Formation of the Conclave

Akhad, Dhera and NiirĂ¢ knew that the only way to defeat the arcane power of the dragon lords would be with their own. They created the Conclave, an order of sages, dedicated to comprehend and learn magic. The power of the Conclave was instrumental to the war that was about to come.

The Long War and the Age of Conquest[edit]

The winter war was a long war fought between the Tyrian Empire and the King's Alliance in the north. The war ended with the surrendering of the alliance, that resulted in the north kingdoms - called "Tribes" by Tyrians - losing their autonomy and their freedom. The greatest symbol of this defeat was the Eternal Flame, the magical sword that kept the Northern Beacon lit being snuffed, and the sword being kept by the Bear family.

The Age of the Empire[edit]

The end of the Winter War marked the beginning of a sort peace in a now consolidated empire. For thirteen years, the empire was allowed to just consolidate its hold over its dominions, and any threats were swiftly dealt with. During this time, the empire could focus in figuring out a way of expanding to the west, developing a travel system that could enable them to arrive quickly at Rethwin, and to train troops to overcome the magical limitations in the elven continent. This age was an age for the empire to prepare to launch a large scale invasion at the lands of the elves.
