Reaching out a hand to a small stone, a tall tiefling plucks cautiously at the strings of reality, pulling and flexing them to his will. The stone shudders and glows at his touch. Slowly, it extends and thinnens, becoming metallic and lethally sharp. Soon, a gleaming, ornate blade lies in his hand. Lost control, he jerks and twitches, and sword after sword clangs to the floor. A spasm engulfs him and blades whirr, coming to a sudden stop as he blearily lurches up. Terror in his eyes, a human crouches in a corner, surrounded by orcs. With a snarl of fury, he hurls a bolt of fire at one, spins round and blasts another with lightning. Undeterred, he charges forward and throws bolt after bolt of acid, ice, thunder and force at his foes. As they spring at him, he engulfs himself in a blue flame, and it crackles through their bodies Divine light spills from the chest of an elf, as she lifts from the floor. Mirrors of her shoot out in all directions, forming a circle of floating, spectral forms around a group of goblins. As they attack, each one disappears in a puff of smoke.

All of these are threadborn, able to manipulate supernatural forces on an incredible level, but only in their area of expertise. They are unable to cast spells of any school other than the ones they are experts in. However, when it comes to these, they are unequaled in power and ability. They are wily and quick, constantly finding ways to solve their problems with the use of their spells. They can succeed where no one else could, but could just as easily fail where most would suceed
