The Imagined One[edit]

Warlock Subclass

Your patron is a two hundred million year old, six-foot tall purple tyrannosaurus-rex with a green tummy and green spots on his back and his tail and yellow toes, he comes to life through a child's imagination, springing up from a doll to full size. After years of being friends to so many everywhere, Barney found he was no longer just an imaginary friend. And now he lends his powers to any who believe in friendship as much as he does

Expanded Spell List[edit]

The patron grants you knowledge of a list of spells when you learn a new spell slot level. The following spells are added to your spells as warlock spells without counting the list of known spells in your warlock table.

Bonus Cantrips[edit]

At 1st level, you learn the friends and mind sliver cantrips. They don’t count against your number of cantrips known.

Good Manners[edit]

Your patron has taught you several ways to make new friends due to their overwhelming desire to befriend all creatures.

At 1st level if you successfully charm someone and the charm last its full duration when the spell ends the charmed creature will not know it was charmed by you or become hostile toward you.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

From Our Imagination[edit]

At 6th level, when you are reduced to 0 hit points, or lower, but not outright killed you can use your reaction to turn into a doll model after your likeness. While in this form you have 5x your warlock level in hit points. While in this state your speed is 0 and you are unable to take an action. You remain in doll form for 1 minute or until affected by a healing spell.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

Just Imagine[edit]

Also at 6th level, you are now a master at using your imagination. You gain resistance to psychic damage. In addition, you have advantage on saving throws against read the warlock's thoughts or determine if the warlock is lying.

The Land of Make Believe[edit]

Starting at 10th level, you can play Let’s Pretend with another creature. As an action, choose a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you. It must make a Wisdom saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. On a failed save, it is charmed for 1 minute or until your concentration is broken. This effect ends early if the creature takes any damage.

Until this illusion ends, the creature thinks it is lost in The Land of Make Believe, the appearance of which you choose.

You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.

Barney the Dinosaur[edit]

At 14th level, you gain a doll in your patron’s image. As an action, you can use your imagination to have your doll take your patrons true form and request aid in one of two ways:

  • Transport. You and up to 6 willing creatures of your choice stand in a circle holding hands and are transported to any location that you have visited before
  • Sing & Dance. Any creatures hostile towards you that can see or hear Barney must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or use their movement for 1d4 rounds to sing and dance with Barney. If a creature charmed in this way takes damage they can remake the saving throw with advantage.

You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.


Unique Eldritch Invocations[edit]

The Barney Bag (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron)

You gain a Bag of Holding, adorned in your patrons’ colors, containing Painter’s supplies and Calligrapher's Supplies

With a Great Big Hug (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron)

When you cast eldritch blast, you can choose to deal no damage, and instead for a creature to make a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained until the end of your next turn as the eldritch energy surrounds and traps it. If you do this, you cannot use any of the extra beams provided by eldritch blast.

You gain proficiency in the Acrobatics and Performance skills.

Arts & Crafts (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron)

You gain proficiency with Painter’s supplies and Calligrapher's Supplies.

Bedtime with Barney (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron, Pact of the Tome)

A new chapter appears in your Book of Shadows, containing a multitude of bedtime stories. At the beginning of a long rest, you can read one of these stories aloud. At the end of the long rest, you and any friendly creatures who listen to your story gain temporary hit points equal to your Warlock Level

Taking Turns (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron, Pact of the Chain)

While your familiar is active, you may have them rest upon your shoulder. While in this state, your familiar may not take any actions and their movement speed is reduced to 0. While in this state however, you may choose to transfer concentration of a single spell onto your familiar. This allows you to maintain concentration on a single spell while your familiar maintains concentration on a second spell. At any point as a bonus action, you may free your familiar from this state, restoring their ability to move and act, but losing your secondary concentration slot.

Sharing is Caring (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron, Pact of the Talisman)

You gain a number of talismans equal to your proficiency bonus from your patron whenever you perform the 1-hour ceremony to receive a replacement. You can possess no more than this amount at any given time. In addition, while someone else is wearing your talisman, you can make any Warlock spell you cast that targets only you also target the wearer of your talisman.

Hop to it! (Prerequisite: The Imagined One Patron, Pact of the Blade)

You gain a bonus to your initiative equal to your Charisma modifier. You may also create your pact weapon with a reaction on the start of your turn.
