Warlock Subclass

Hags are strange and powerful entities, always looking to make a deal. Hags never work for free, demanding quite a heavy payment for their services, even if they favor another creature. However, they are never unfair with their dealings. They deliver what they are paid for and will seek terrifying vengeance if they are swindled. Hags love risks and experimentation, taking pleasure in the wild nature of magical brewing and alchemy. While they may seem random at times, hags never act without reason, though it could sound like a bad reason.

Expanded Spell List[edit]

The Hag lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Spell Level Spells
1st chaos bolt, entangle
2nd Nathair's mischief, wither and bloom
3rd bestow curse, plant growth
4th giant insect, guardian of nature
5th modify memory, reincarnate
Ominous Alchemist

Starting at 1st level, your patron teaches you the ways of alchemical experimentation. You gain proficiency with alchemist's tools. If you are already proficient, you may choose another tool set. In addition, you can brew concoctions for half the cost required.

Forest Dwelling Servant

Also at 1st level, your patron grants you knowledge that has been locked away behind the forces of nature. You gain the following benefits:

  • You learn Druidic.
  • You can cast speak with animals at will.
  • When your Pact Magic feature lets you learn a Warlock spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the druid or warlock spell lists. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a warlock spell for you.
Wild Alchemy

Starting at 6th level, you call on the volatile nature of alchemy when casting spells. Once on each of your turns, when you cast a spell, you can roll on the following table and apply the appropriate effect before you roll your attack roll or before your target rolls their saving throw:

1d100 Bubbling Magic
1-10 You suffer the same effects as the spell you cast in addition to your target.
11-30 You have disadvantage on the spell attack roll, or your target has advantage on the saving throw.
31-50 No additional effects.
51-70 You have advantage on the spell attack roll, or your target has disadvantage on the saving throw.
71-90 You can change the damage or saving throw type.
91-100 Your attack counts as a critical hit and deals additional damage equal to half your warlock level, or your target automatically fails their saving throw and the time they are affected is doubled (unless it is instantaneous).
Hefty Price

Starting at 10th level, you can present a gift to your patron in exchange for aid. As an action, you can deposit coins or an item into your vessel and ask for a favor. Once you give up your offering, it immediately disappears and your DM determines exactly how your patron responds. Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can do so again.

Weaver of Fate

Starting at 14th level, your patron shows you the malleability of fate, allowing you to change the circumstances of your life. You can replace your proficiency in Wisdom saving throws whenever you finish a long rest. To do so, choose Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, or Intelligence. You gain proficiency in saves using that ability, instead of Wisdom. This change lasts until you finish your next long rest.

In addition, you gain resistance to one damage type and proficiency in one skill of your choice. You can change any of these to another when you finish a long rest.
