In the beginning of creation, The Plumed Rainbow Serpent, king of the wandering star gods met his council; Obsidian Jaguar, Seven Macaw, Jade Crocodile, Six Monkey and the Death Lords of Xibalba led by the beautiful Blood Moon. They traversed through the great void filled the stars and dead planets. These star gods grew lonely until they came to a strange blue world in the void filled with primordial seas and so they ended the age of the small peoples with a great plague of the sea and they then rose the land from the oceans. In Turn these small peoples fell into a deep sleep and the gods crafted them into new races.

But the gods grew sad with this new primitive world and it's wild verdant jungles. The Primitive races that where reborn were unworthy of worshipping these star gods. The reborn races where in a neolithic period and lacked the proper sophistication to properly worship these gods. So the star gods though of building races of giant masons to build temples and teach the mortal races civilization.

The first race of giants where crafted by Xpiyacoc and Xmucane, two star gods who resided over male and female fertility. These couple crafted the first race of giants from wood and where told to build the great temples and educate the reborn races in worship. But the Forest giants where simple of mind and uncaring so the gods cast these giant down in great forests fires and burned them alive in their elder groves. The few remaining forest giants, divorced from the love of the gods, where cursed and devolved into a great drakes of water and air. Plumed Rainbow Serpent gathered their remains and kept it hidden in his palace.

The second race of giants where crafted by Seven Macaw, and he crafted them from mud. These great mud giants rose from the clay Calderas and labored to build the great monolith temples and standing stones across the new green world. But when the new races tried to speak to these clay guardians their language was unintelligible and their minds where simple. Obsidian Jaguar was given the task to destroy this race of clay giants, so he summoned a massive cyclone from the primordial seas that dissolved the flesh of these beings during the great deluge. The few mud giants that fled and remained where cursed and devolved into massive into great drakes of fire and earth. Again Plumed Rainbow Serpent gathered their essence and kept it hidden in his palace.

Plumed Rainbow Serpent then fused the essence of the forest and mud giants into a rebirth race known as ogres. These ogres grew in size and split into two races of giants of flesh and these great beings where both powerful of body but wise of mind. The finished building the great cyclopean temples, monolithic tombs and standing lunar stones in homage to the gods.

The drakes in turn where led by one great beast, who became their king. These beast was known as Zipacna and it was said that this mighty creature could strike the earth with such power that it would produce an earthquake that could strike the great monoliths and temples of the star gods down.

A pair of twins where raised in worship to the great god Obsidian Jaguar in his great temple. These warrior twins, Namacuix and Necahual, in turn where trained to defeat the great drake Zipacna. And so they attacked the great beast with obsidian mahuatils and spears but the beasts hide was so thick their weapons could not pierce it's scaly hide. Blood Moon, the goddess, fell in love with the warrior twins and their handsome bronzed bodies. As the warriors fled from the horrific drake with it's impenetrable hide, they traversed in the highlands of the great rain forests. Blood moon came to them as they slept and whispered that Zipacna's only weakness was his gluttony and she brewed a special poison which will make his greatest strength his undoing. Blood Moon spoke to them in their dreams and gave them a vision of a great feast of several roasted crabs coated with this strange poison... given as offerings to the mighty crocodilian Zipacna.

So the Warrior Twins fashioned mighty battle axes from iron wood and Jade and they wandered into bay of Anacondas to hunt the massive crabs that dwelled therein. After they slayed twelve of the man sized crabs they dug a great trench and filled it with sea water while they hurled various great stones into a roaring inferno. As the fire died down the Twin used their jade battle axes to roll the smoldering hot boulders into the water of the trench and immediately the water began to boil and simmer, the burning hot rocks themselves split into pieces due to touching the cool seawater... this in turn cooked the giant crabs until their shells where a brilliant crimson. The Twins quickly poured the vial of dark poison into the open wounds on the boiled crabs, from where their mighty jade Axes struck them in their brains during the fierce battles that took place in the bay. The Twins split one crab into various chunks and carried it to Zipacna's lair, there they quietly placed the chunks near the slumbering beast and created a trail to the pit that was filled with well cooked crabs.

Zipacna awoke in a hazy state, the massive crocodilian dragon rose up from it's cave and began to follow this wonderful smell of cooked crab, it easily smashed through jungle foliage, plowing over mighty ironwood trees as it made it way across the jungle to get to this tasty new treat. The Titanic beast lumbered across the sand beach to it pit made of stone and sand with the cooked crab and greedily devoured them one by one. As the beast began to digest, Zipacna crawled into the water of the bay and fell into a deep sleep. Blood Moon appeared before the hiding twins and said "Namacuix and Necahual, grab your jade war axes, your obsidian Mahuatils and fang daggers... go into the belly of the beast and find it's heart, drive your weapons deep into it's beating heart and you will have slain the king of crocodiles."
