I tried doing a bit of touch-up on the grammar, as well as tried to balance things out a bit, I hope this is adequate! Moth 5:56 23/10/2018

Way of The Blizzard Changes[edit]

Moth, I have looked at the current version of it, and i do appreciate that you have kept it themed and somewhat to my original design with your adjustments. thank you very much.

Random Opinion From Anon[edit]

My main gripes are the 6th and 11th level abilities. If you were to use this subclass anywhere but cold environments, it's weak; in cold places, it is very powerful. I love the flavor of this, but I think you should allow the subclass abilities to still be used strongly in other places. Requiring ki if its not in a cold environment, and if it's in a cold environment, the ki requirement is discounted or something, because as of now, the abilities uses are limitless and thats OP, especially in the cold.

Balance Issues[edit]

I have edited some features to fix the balance of the class. I don't think that the 6th level feature needs a cost in ki points, because it is roughly similar to the shadow monk 6th level feature. However, similarly to the shadow monk feature, I've created a restriction to the use of the teleport, being usable only on "frozen terrain". And i added a feature to make this possible, grating at 3rd level the ability to create frozen ground (similar to the ability of the shadow monk to create his own shadow).

As for the 11th level feature, i edited a cost for the feature, but removed the need for a saving throw to deal the extra damage. I added an effect too, the ability to inflict the paralyzed condition with this freezing strike, which is IMO pretty fitting for this archetype. Anastacio (talk) 16:48, 26 May 2020 (MDT)
