Talk:Way of Balance (5e Subclass)

Yeah, infinite healing is always not allowed. Bearing in mind that a 1st-level spell costs 2 Ki points, you could almost certainly have a minor healing skill costing 1 Ki. Also, the Yin and Yang stacking mechanic should probably be tied to skills which expend Ki points, since the skills it grants are very powerful. Or maybe give them all s/l rest or long rest cooldowns, whichever is more appropriate. I like the concept though, and it's fairly well balanced otherwise. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 00:29, 1 September 2017 (MDT)

Yes, Ki expenditure is a must. However, maybe you could tie the healing to the damage. Yang is the traditional male energy, maybe using it to heal, but having it generated from attack would add a balance and flow to the archetype. That way the character doesn't just stand by allies and heal them. The opposite can be true for Yin energy.
