Talk:Unarmed Brawler, Variant (5e Class)

As far as I can tell, this is unarmed brawler but with two buffs:

  • "At 2nd level, while Brawler's Surge is active, you may add you proficiency bonus to unarmed damage." This seems a bit overpowered even for this class, let alone multiclassing. With a two-level dip here, you can carry this over to monk which already can get 3+ unarmed strikes per turn (and all the other OP things monks get).
  • Unarmored Defense is buffed. Even though Unarmored Defense on unarmed brawler is already pretty overpowered in my opinion (hello yes add my two most important ability modifiers to my AC, including the one which increases my already sky-high hit points, by the way at 20th level they both increase by four).

I'm not sure I'd call Unarmed Brawler balanced either (I mean it's a barbarian-monk who gets Flurry Rush and stuff), but this seems a bit too overpowered to me. - Guy 19:33, 20 March 2022 (MDT)
