If a spellcaster gets all five elements can they summon Captain Planet?

Don't you think that the ability damage should be higher on the mishap table than actual damage? 2d3 to all physical stats is harsh. Even 1d3 to all your physical stats is harsh (considering how it needs to be healed). 1d3 to your casting stat is very harsh (consider that it may very well disable you from casting spells at all. Putting those effects where they are makes the controlled caster feat seem more like a penalty than a bonus.

Requiring at least 3 feats to cast spells like Wish is just silly, not balanced. Characters are feat starved enough as is. You might argue that those feats provide other benefits, but it does boil down to: what price should a player have to pay to get the one spell they really want? There are plenty of other abuses to get wishes and this variant encourages using them. --Aarnott 07:07, 10 June 2009 (MDT)
