Category[edit]

What category should this fall under? Magical Armors? Magical Flavor Treasure? Please help. --Green Dragon 09:49, 4 May 2007 (MDT)

Why not both? —Sledged (talk) 21:45, 6 May 2007 (MDT)
I guess that will work... Changed it. --Green Dragon 22:43, 6 May 2007 (MDT)

Revision[edit]

How does everyone like my revision? --Watsyurname529 19:43, 5 November 2007 (MST)

I feel that it is a lot more usable and uses correct D&D Rules, unlike the other, but I think it misses a huge part of the old version. The old version had the ring and the armor separate, for humor purposes. I am not sure if they are better separate or one in the same. Your thoughts? --Green Dragon 21:44, 5 November 2007 (MST)
Well, mechanically the new one is easier to follow and is better from that stand point. I just liked it to be one item because I wouldn't want to have to keep track of two of them. Also, there is a Armor/Shield enhancement called Calling, which allows you to call your armor/shield on you as long as you are on the same plane. I found this to be repeditive, so I changed it to be more unique. --Watsyurname529 05:16, 6 November 2007 (MST)
It's a good item. But some have to be creaful using it i guess. I like the drowning part. I might use this in my game. By the way, I couldnt figure out what part is related to telekinesis spell which is mentioned on the bottom? If the person has a phobia :D name spiders, what will the ring do when person sees them? --Arphon 08:45, 7 October 2008 (MDT)

Renamed/Moved page[edit]

As you can see, I have renamed and moved this page from "Instant Armor and Ring" to "Ring of Instant Armor". I did so because the old name was really bugging me. It didn't fit in with the DnD naming scheme, and made it difficult to categorize this item. Now that the name has been fized, I have fixed the categorization along with it. --TheWarforgedArtificer 20:58, 29 June 2009 (MDT)

In addition, Ring of Instant Armor has the honor of being the first to use the new 3.5e Magical Rings Breadcrumb template ;) --TheWarforgedArtificer 21:13, 29 June 2009 (MDT)

Awesome[edit]

I love how this ring works! I mean, how often is it that you get a ring that makes armor for when you need it most? On the other hand, if you are drowning the ring still activates, which just makes it that much better. All powerful magic items should have some kind of drawback. Again, I love this ring.
